5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Fun and Effective
I have two sons who are very interested in knights and castles, as well as the associated weaponry. They wanted to get their father a catapult for his birthday. They worked together on the assembly and then enjoyed using their creation to launch Play-Doh balls across the kitchen. It works! You can really get some distance with this little contraption. 3.0 out of 5 stars fun but poor durability
This is a fairly good little gadget. The long term durability is low, and
not a ton of educational value. recommed larger kits for kids education.
still fun for office battles.

They worked together on the assembly and then enjoyed using their creation to launch Play-Doh balls across the kitchen. It works! You can really get some distance with this little contraption. As you might imagine, they decided dad needed a trebuchet for Christmas.

I bought this as a project to share with my 10 year old son. We put it together in less than half an hour (other than some time to let the glue dry). He had a blast, learned a lot, and was thrilled with the whole process. The kit was very easy to assemble.

My grandson needed to build a catapult for Social Studies class in six days. No other instructions or directions were given. Thank goodness for Amazon! The kit was shipped and he had it built with a day to spare and he got an A for the project. This is a great catapult kit; very well constructed with nice wood that stained beautifully.

Used this for a science project and was very happy with the results. It is a fun toy to launch objects with. Have fun if you buy this.

It is a catapult, it fires small objects across the room. Things like mini marhmallows, dog food, and marbles work well. The trigger slips and does not hold down the arm, but could probably easily be fixed. If your thinking the price seems kinda high, well it is, but you already know that. It is sturdy and looks good.

Very easy to assemble and fun. It shoots things very far. We bought three types of tabletop catapults and this was by far the best.

Our 10 year old son has been asking for a catapult so we purchased this one. When assembling it, there were 4 pieces missing, so, Dad had to improvise. Even with the non-maker parts, it works great and our son is delighted with it.

This is a great replica! I recommend buying the trebuchet as well and do comparative trajectory experiments... and battles! We're going to lay seige to some Keva Plank towers.
