This book's review is great and actually had me laughing out loud in my school's library. The list of rhetorical devices and such was very helpful.
However, if you need a book to practice, this is NOT the book for you. The multiple choice in the practice tests were NOTHING like the real AP.
Buy it for the review, but for practice tests, try something else.

I bought this book to prep my AP English Language & Composition classes. I found the information straight forward and useful. The sample tests are great and the ability to determine a score on the 0-5 scale is an eyeopener. Students can find their weak points easily, and work to fix them before the exam.

This is very timely for the changes in the Language test this year. It has both sample multiple choice and essay prompts for the new synthesis question.
