I use this book for craft ideas after teaching the story. It presents a lot of easy to make puppets for the kids to make in class. The instructions tell how to make the puppets during the lesson, but I prefer to do it during craft time, instead of during circle time. The materials needed for the puppets are generally available in church supply closets, although a few things may have to be purchased, (like sponges, or wooden craft spoons, craft feathers or googly eyes). The puppets do need the teacher to do some preparation ahead of time. The teacher needs to read how to do it, and gather the supplies before Sunday. The activites are excellent though, and make a big splash in the classroom, as well as with the parents at home.
