Product Description

Casino surveillance and security are increasingly important in the operations of casinos. If patrons do not feel safe in a casino, they will not come back. As more people visit casinos and more money circulates, criminals seek to find new ways to defraud and perpetrate crimes against patrons and the casinos. This new book covers surveillance room operations and looks at how crimes are committed within a casino, both by outsiders and casino employees. The book stresses maintaining good security management and training of employees. This new book will be of interest to anyone involved the casino industry.

For someone with little or no background in casino security, this is a good book. it isn't very detailed for someone with more knowledge.

4.0 out of 5 stars A broad overview, October 14, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a very good book on the subject. The information is limited or rather broad, however with so much to cover it is understandable. I've been in surveillance for 7-8 yrs. I was able to learn and refreshed my knowledge. It is defintely time well spent and a bargain price compaired to other surveillance training.

While this was a read for professional research, I found that it was a fascinating and well-written operational overview of a world that few every get to see from this perspective.
