Belkin's Bluetooth USB Adapter (model F8T003) is an ultra compact Bluetooth USB dongle. It is small enough to let other USB device plug into an adjacent USB port on my Apple PowerBook. At 10 meters maximum range (a bit over 30 feet), it won't let you roam on a large house, but sufficient for most practical purposes.Pros: - Very small and highly portable - Attractive design with blue indicator light - Zero configuration under Mac OS X 10.2 Cons: - The blue indicator blinks very brightly at night - Requires software installation and configuration on Windows platform (not necessarily Belkin's fault but) - Could be a bit thinner for those with tightly-spaced USB ports I have 2 computers, IBM ThinkPad A31 (runs Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1) and Apple PowerBook G4 (runs Mac OS X 10.2.6). Under Apple, the dongle worked without any software installation (and zero configuration). After going through the setup wizard, the Sony Ericsson T68i and PowerBook were in iSyncing heaven. Under Windows XP, however, I had to install the software. And Windows XP does not provide much software support, either (ActiveSync supports only Windows-based PDAs and phones). However, there are number of software available and file exchange works very easily (i.e., uploading wallpaper). All in all, Belkin's Bluetooth USB Adapter is an attractive solution.
