Biography

The D.C. alt-metal band Dog Fashion Disco doesn't play into classy decor or music mainstream. Their vigor cites the same intensity as Clutch, Tool, and Nothingface, taking shape for new millennium punk revival. The band, which is composed of frontman Todd D. Smith, guitarist Greg Combs, keyboardist Jeff Seigel, bassist Steve Mears, and drummer John Ensminger, has toured with the likes of Methods… Read more in Amazon's Dog Fashion Disco Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Dog Fashion Disco - Commited to a Bright Future, May 20, 2003
By Keith (Minneapolis, MN) - See all my reviews
Commited is the next best thing to sliced bread. The follow up to the debut "Anarchist's of Good Taste," is more groundbreaking circus metal. The 12 track album contains an amazing array of style. Ranging from new versions of such disco-like classics as "Pogo the Clown" to the very heavy "Love Song for a Witch", & "The Acid Memoirs." There has been no band to ever come close the style which Dog Fashion Disco presents. Buy this album and you won't regret, you'll have a new favorite band.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Album, April 20, 2005
By Q-Tip (Deptford, NJ) - See all my reviews
This cd is awesome. It's range in sound from metal to jazz to funk to circus-rock makes your head spin. The vocals are done beautifully, covering screams, singing beautifully, and singing in a completely weird fashion. The lyrics, the music, the keyboards, all create the feel of Dog Fashion Disco. And one last thing.....the best place for a hidden track i've ever come across. If you haven't found out by now, their cover of Grease is before track 1, you have to rewind the cd as soon as you start it. Genious.
