3.0 out of 5 stars Good buy for the money - Copy protection?, November 1, 2005
So I went out and bought this album because I saw it on MySpace and heard some of the tracks on Sirius Satellite Radio. Overall a cool album and very affordable price for the content. Problem? There's a content blocking program built onto the cd. Truthfull, this is one album you SHOULD steal.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful Tip, October 19, 2005
This isn't really a review; it's more of a helpful tip. In order to avoid having these garbage copyright protection programs from automatically downloading onto your computer you have to turn off the autorun on your CD-ROM drive. I turned mine off after that Velvet Revolver CD downloaded that crap to my system and I have had no problems since. As for the CD I'll give it four stars. It's like any other comp album, some good songs, and some bad songs.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy This Cd - Mediamax Copy Protection, October 19, 2005
I purchased this CD and am horribly displeased with its copy protection. It uses a new version of Mediamax that, like its predecessor, installs to your computer without asking and prevents you from ripping/playing the CD as you would like by garbling the sound and causing sync errors. Unlike its predecessor however, the method of removing the unwanted software from your computer is still currently unknown, and I've even heard that the Shift key trick no longer works.

As it stands, I've spent hours just trying to remove the software from my computer, nevermind rip the tracks I purchased so I can put them on my iPod, and I'm about through with this crap. I plan on writing many an angry letter, and so should you.
