We all know what happens when record companies merge: Some really great music gets lost in the shuffle. Vaux's much-anticipated third album sat on the shelf for over year before getting a release date. The good news is it hardly sounds worse for the wear, delivering the palpable fury fans have come to expect from the tightly wound Denver screamo sextet, especially on tracks like "Identity Theft" and "Are You With Me." But there are signs of growth as well, like the subtle electronic beats simmering under "The Rope, The Pistol, The Candlestick" and the distinct Radiohead thumbprint on "The Last Report From . . ." --

Product Description
VAUX is a 6-piece band out of Denver, Colorado. They have been playing together since 1998 under various band names but became full time as VAUX in 2002. They have toured the USA numerous times with various bands in support previous releases. Beyond Virtue is a harmonious dichotomy. It's at times a loud, but soothing album. It's violent, but also incredibly beautiful. The songs on Beyond Virtue move you and then, suddenly, stop you in your steps. But no matter what, they always demand a reaction.
