I bought this as a gift. It's very cute and very soft. The white on the paws are silky, newborn-puppy soft. It measures about 14" from ear to foot, and about 12" across when arms outstretched. It has some beans in the bum to keep it upright, which is a nice touch. It has a smooth metal rivet in the ear holding a ribbon id tag. I'm not sure if this can be removed, but it doesn't look like it would ever fall off. I'm sure you can buy comparable stuffed toys for much less, which is the only drawback, however it is a very nice bear.

Dear reader,
unfortunately I'm not able to tell you something about the bear I ordered because it was a present for a friend who recently got a little baby girl overseas (=as I haven't seen this present at anytime I'm not really able to rate this item). However there is one thing I can assure and this is the reason why I chose that present: from my personal experience I know, that the quality of the Steiff-products is exceptional. While other bears can usually be thrown away after they are in use for 2 or 3 years Steiff-bears are able to survive a lifetime! It's a fact that Steiff's products may cost a buck or two more, but they're really worth every dime!
