This 3-Disc Deluxe Edition includes a full-length movie DVD with 45+ minutes of special features, plus the "Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" CD and the critically acclaimed "Music That Inspired The Movie" CD. "Threat" is an award-winning and controversial urban thriller that has earned its maverick filmmakers both accolades and condemnations for its heady brew of street philosophy and ultraviolence. White straightedge punk-rocker Jim and black hip-hop radical Fred become friends working dead-end jobs in NYC's Lower East Side, both of them with the hope that their newfound brotherhood will bring solidarity to their disparate communities. Instead, the alliance triggers a violent race riot that spills into the city streets with devastatingly tragic consequences. Shot entirely within the hardcore punk and hip-hop scenes, "Threat" features an adrenaline fueled soundtrack that includes Eighteen Visions, Bleeding Through, Atari Teenage Riot, Terror, Eyes Like Knives, and Most Precious Blood. The companion "Music That Inspired The Movie" CD is an homage to the historic "Judgment Night" soundtrack, this time pitting hardcore and metalcore bands against breakcore artists; mashups include Edgey vs. Killswitch Engage, Defrag vs. Gorilla Biscuits, Hecate vs. Bleeding Through, Enduser vs. Glassjaw, Holocaust vs. Minor Threat, and many more. Critics have compared "Threat" to such hard-edged cult classics as "Kids," "Do The Right Thing," "Easy Rider," "American History X," "The Warriors," "Mean Streets," "Fight Club," and "A Clockwork Orange."
