American Lighting 30-foot premium grade rope light kit with mounting clips, clear #018-0005, these do it yourself rope light kits are perfect for the home, inside and out, there are many applications for these lights including decorative outlines for decks, trees and fencing, indoors there are also numerous applications such as coves, china cabinets, bookshelves and toe kicks, to name a few, the premium rope light kit comes with everything you need for most installations and is available in lengths of 2-feet, 6-feet, 10-feet, 18-feet, 30-feet and 50-feet, additional accessories include 3-foot extension kits and clear mounting track, sold separately

Product Description

This flexible rope lighting can be used anywhere you need decorative lighting. It's ideal for cove or cabinet lighting, illuminating handrails, toe kick areas in the bath or kitchen, under a counter and more. 1 inch bulb spacing with a bulb life of 25,000 hours and an output of 3 watts per foot. Each bulb is only .25 watts. Rope sections may be connected to a maximum run distance of 200 feet. Molded female/male connectors. Includes hardware mounting clips and screws. 30 foot length of rope light. 5 foot power cord.

After reviewing several distributors of 50ft rope lighting, this was what I wanted at a good price. The wiring is parallel, so one failed lamp does not black out the downstream lamps. (In fact, it survived one poorly aimed hammer blow with only 1 failed lamp.) The light is incandescent warm, not bothersome bright, but enough for accent lighting and navigation. We mounted it up on a trellis, where it is plenty of light for the dining table below (but I'd surround all 4 sides of the table). I looked at LCD lighting, but finally decided that it was too expensive.

The lights are nice and bright. I like the look alot. My only complaint is the screws for the brackets, suck. So if you plan on buying these lights pick up some good screws from the hardware store to save yourself a major headache. Because the screws they send, strip before they get halfway into the wood, and you can't get them in or out. So, Good Lights, Crappy Screws.

110'of lights are around the pool cage top. They work fine. The clips are too brittle for Florida, so I bought 1/2" clear flexible cable holders.
