First, not only does the sprouter work better than the other two I've used in the past and grow heaps of fresh sprouts with it's design, it's also simple to use...so much so even kids could do it!

Many sprouters start off their instructions saying to soak the seeds in water overnight in a cheesecloth covered jar. Utilizing this sprouter can eliminate that step if you use it the way I do (this is not in the instructions). Simply place the sprout seeds in the bottom part of the sprouter. (This is where the water typically drains) This had no holes for the water to drain out of so it will hold your seeds same as a jar. Then, rather than using cheesecloth to cover it which is meant to let air in, simply place the clear plastic tray that goes on top of the brownish/orange bottom (it has holes in the bottom of it) atop the seeds. Place in a dark place overnight.

The next day you can just drain the seeds by pouring them into the strainer. It's a one step process...no extra jar needed, no cheesecloth. This will drain the water out and leave you no jars to clean.

This yields more seeds, fast growth, and better sprouts than I've had in the past and couldn't be easier to do...has saved us loads of money and we KNOW our sprouts are healthy and organic and fresh!

This item is great. It looks exactly like the picture, is compact but grows a few cups worth of sprouts at a time. Water drains efficiently, though it helps to tilt on it's side right after you rinse, before restacking. My sprouts grow quickly and the tails don't all get stuck in the slots like with a colander. It's easy to clean up as well. Great product for growing sprouts.

I love this sprouter. It's low-cost, easy to use, easy to store, and the sprouts come out a lot better than they do with the jar method. The dual levels let you either start crops at different times, or grow different types of sprouts. I want to get one of these for everyone I know.
