Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Performed with utmost passion, rawness and vitality, 'A New Morning, Changing Weather' is another The (International) Noise Conspiracy celebration of passion and resistance. A record that will surely inspire people to give the band three-fingered rock salute with one hand, while hoisting a Molotov cocktail in the other. From Burning Heart Records.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very solid album., August 5, 2002
I discovered T(I)NC though Epitaph's public access television show Punkorama a few years ago. The show featured 2 videos from songs on their Survival Sickness album. This compelled me to go to a show and I've been hooked ever since.

A New Morning, Changing Weather is a great album, which I believe is a more solid album than Survival Sickness was. This is due to the organization of the many excellent tracks on this album. Oftentimes albums seem poorly organized, with fast and slow songs placed to one another in a way that is a detriment to the power of the whole body of work. The songs on this CD flow together seemlessly and thus make the album as a whole a great listen.

The songs themselves are great. In my personal opinion, they are more jazzy than those on Survival Sickness. Therefore, I feel the music has a less aggressive sound, but the political message is not any less aggressive with songs like "Capitalism Stole My Virginity."

In conclusion, this is a great album. However, T(I)NC's recorded music does not nor will it ever compare to their stellar live performances. It is simply impossible to capture the electricity of Dennis Lyxzén and mass produce it. I suggest buying the CD, familiarize yourself with the songs, then go to a show.

5.0 out of 5 stars A New Morning, Changing Weather, March 2, 2004
By Jasonian Revolution (Kaysville, UT United States) - See all my reviews
Wow, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, these guys are amazing, how can I describe the energy coming from this cd. From the first note that came from the speakers, I knew this was something different. I have listened to their older stuff and this is something completely different. Their first full-length First Conspiracy is more of just cool beats with catchy lyrics, while Survival Sickness, their second, is harder, faster riffs. Their newest project, A New Morning ,Changing Weather is their best stuff yet. Combine jazzy indie music, the best studio work I've seen in a long time, meaningful lyrics(mainly on the evils of capitalism), GREAT vocals(Dennis is a madman with the mic), and some of the most talented songwriters in the world, and you get A New Morning, Changing Weather.
::Song Review::
1.Northwest Passage
- (10) Great Song, talks of the "Northwest Passage" we're all trying to find, the way to happiness

2.Up For Sale
- (9) This song is about Capitalism and how we are all "Up For Sale" Only reason for rating it 9 is it gets rather repetitive at the end

3.Bigger Cages, Longer Chains
- (10)In the top three. Catchiest song on the album. Many different interesting parts. Listen to it up at the music sampler.

4.Breakout 2001
- (10) Great Chorus. About how we can break away from the capitalist rulers in our world

5. A Body Treatise
- (9) Starts slow, picks up to be a great song

6.Born into a Mess
- (10) Great music by every part in the band. Many different parts also

7. New Empire Blues
- (10)Three way tie for the best song on the album. Great guitar riffs, extremely well though out song. Guest saxophone parts.

8.Capitalism Stole My Virginity
- (10) You can guess what this song is about. Amazing vocals on Dennis' part. Keyboards play a great part in this song.

9. Last Century Promise
- (9) Good song, except for the guitar screeching that is in the background the whole time

10. Dead Language of Love
- (9) Good song, great vocals.

11. A New Morning, Changing Weather
- (10) Title Song, and a great one! This song is in the three way tie also, but I would probably say this is the best on the album. Best vocal on the cd, best guitar, best keyboards, best drums. Everything is moving too fast for life on this track. Great chorus, the keyboard outro is the best I've ever heard on any cd ever.

All in all, this is the best cd I own, and I doubt it will ever be less than that, that is unless, of course, TINC comes out with a new full length, which,I'm sure will be nothing less than phenomenal. They will be at Warped Tour 2004, so if your getting tickets make sure you go to these guys because they put on the best live show I've ever seen.

5.0 out of 5 stars somewhat looked over, September 2, 2002
By leah (kentucky, usa) - See all my reviews
these days its the hives, the vines, the strokes, etc. that are suposidly starting up the whole indie rock, and garage punk, but the international noise conspiracy was before them and are not getting as much credit for this new wave of music becoming popular. so i am giving this cd5 stars and i hope people dont overlook the bands that are older than 15 minutes.
