The lens can also be flipped to the other wide angle lens. If you unscrew the wide angle lens you reveal the macro lens. The macro lens lets you get VERY close to things, like closer than a finger-width. Clarity from all lenses is excellent and turns your iphone into a very great camera that would put a lot of point and shoots to shame.
For a cool effect, try using the fisheye with the iPhone's panorama feature.
The one tradeoff is that the Olloclip covers up the flash, so there is a slight compromise. For me, that's fine since I rarely use the flash and the built in flash would not be adequate to cover the expanded area required when using a fisheye lens.
piece everything was functioning perfect. Although the wide angle
didn't make a big difference from the regular camera lens and honestly
I was never going to use the Macro Lens. This basically left me with
the Fish eye lens which I LOVE! But after two or three uses a little
piece of the holder broke by it self and now every time I clip the lens to the phone
the fish eye stays loose and it continues to come out of the clip. I
tried reaching OLLO CLIP but no one has answered back, retried and still no answer. I am a really
techie person that loves mobile photography and video so I take care
of all my external mobile accessories. I had to use crazyglue to fix the issue.
The only complaint I have is that a tiny object in a black cloth bag is easy to lose. Just try finding it under the seat of your car! Other than that, this is a great product, and I recommend it.
As with my phone, I usually keep the Olloclip in my pocket. I do use the drawstring bag that is included, it really helps keep the pocket lint and other debris off the lenses, although there is still some dust that gets on the lenses. This is usually easily remedied by blowing on the lenses, occasionally I do clean them more thoroughly with a cotton swab. The lens caps do not fit very tight and come off easily while in my pocket, another reason to always use the drawstring bag.
Before I got the Olloclip for my iPhone 4s, I used another lens system that had an adhesive metal ring that you placed around the camera lens. Each lens had a magnet built into it that would attach magnetically to the ring. This system worked well, but after a while the adhesive ring would lose it's stickiness and the ring would fall off, effectively disabling your lens system. The Olloclip system works a lot better in my opinion.
I don't always carry a separate camera with me, but I always have my iPhone with me. Because of this, my iPhone has become my primary daily camera, documenting my life, and the Olloclip does a great job adding to the versatility of the iPhone camera.
I would definitely recommend this Olloclip system to anyone.

The lenses are ok. I'm not sure that they're worth the effort, as the pictures don't turn out that much better than just using the camera alone.Published 9 months ago by Melissa
Wide angle is a disappointment, too much fish eye effect. not a helpful tool for property photos. Macro is good.Published 10 months ago by anthony kent
