In the stores, we saw many variations on travel mugs, but most were either too small, too big, or stainless-steel lined (which she didn't want because she says it changes the taste of the tea.) My Amazon searches turned up this Aladdin mug and the many positive comments. I was concerned about the snap-on lid being a problem, as was the fact that it did not seal completely, but for my wife's use, neither of these were an issue.
I am happy to say that she loves the mug; it is just the right size and she likes that the sipping opening isn't forced to be in one position. The mug is comfortable to hold and keeps her tea hot at least as long as the old one. And it's inexpensive, too! A winner!
Update: a couple years into only infrequent use and it began to deteriorate, raising health concerns.

Says "Aladdin" on the top only, but does not come up on Alladin's website. So It must be made by others. Read morePublished on December 15, 2010 by Michael J. Gillean
Mug is exactly what I was looking for. Keeps coffee drinkable for an hour or two. Only down fall it is not leak proof. I am happy with product. Holds enough coffee to last a while.Published on September 17, 2010 by Amazon Customer
