Usually, Amazon clears all of the reviews a few days before the release (... to frustate those reviewers?). However, it is possible that some of these reviewers have actually played the Wii U during the Wii U Experience Tour. It adds a little more complexity to that issue in this case.
I am more curious as to why Amazon.com even allows this? Amazon.de and .co.uk dont even allow reviews for products that havent been released yet. This way these absolutely worthless reviews wouldnt cloud the judgement of uninformed customers.
Dear Amazon. Please please please please please block reviews until a product is officially released. Thanks much from someone who is losing all faith in your review rankings. A small amount of playtime during an event does not equal enough time to write a considered review, either.
Playing a demo display doesn't count. I mean, playing a demo display for a short amount of time in a store is not enough time to be able to sit down and construct a decent review. You have to have actually owned the system yourself and played it for an extended period of time. This is another problem, people are writing reviews just based on playing the demo display in stores..
