5.0 out of 5 stars uplifting and colorful
I am an english speaking mom teaching my daughter to speak spanish. This book is excellent. The influctions in your voice as you read to the youngster keep her interested. The message is a good moral one. And the pages are colorful and fun. I recommend this one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great book, but....
I bought this book for my 4 yr old brother, he loves trains so I thought that it wold be perfect. Right now he is mostly communicating more in English, so just like the last reviewer I thought that it was time to introduce books in Spanish since being biligual specially now days has become such a benefit. I bought this book for my 4 yr old brother, he loves trains so I thought that it wold be perfect. Right now he is mostly communicating more in English, so just like the last reviewer I thought that it was time to introduce books in Spanish since being biligual specially now days has become such a benefit. The moral of the book is Great, the pictures, and so is the story itself. The only problem I found with the book which annoyed me soo much that I decided to use whiteout on it, was that in one of the pages in the middle of the book it speaks of all the great toys "that any little boy or girl could ever want," and these toys includes "cuchillas" which are switchblades and it also has a picture of it next to all the other toys. It makes me question what the author was thinking and why in their right mind they would put a knife in a childrens book!!??? My brother keep pointing at it repeating the word thinking that it was a toy, after the fisr few times I chose to just whiteout the word "cuchillas" and also the picture itself. I really like the book, but that really makes no sence to me.

I got this book for my 2 year old since he loves trains. I speak only spanish to him and he's at the point where he recognizes the letters and words in english, so I figured it was time to get some spanish books. This is the book he requests EVERY NIGHT!!! The book has got some great vocabulary words and colorful images. Highly recommend this book.
