This review is from: Une petite maison 1923 (French, German and English Edition) (Paperback)
as an architect i frequently feel a kind of superficiality in architecture books. i have the sensation they are generaly made for non-architects who enjoy architecture.
to show a wide range of an architect ouvre, we find just some photos and a small text from each project. well that's why i've been looking for books from one project only. emblematic projects. la petite maison is a beautiful and very important project in le corbusier's work. the most interesting thing about this book is that the architect shows us here the whole process of thinking this house. it's great to see trough sketches and some handwrited texts how the project was born in the architect's mind. i highly recomend! for the project, for the architect and for the book! |
