The book was published in 1945 (first edition) last printed in the 1960's. It's sort of a textbook, on black and white photography state of the art 1945, arguably the high tide of black and white. Tom Miller was in charge of photographic training at Kodak & Wyatt Brummitt was a staff writer at Kodak. I have seen a lot of basic texts on the subject, this just sort of has staying power. Covers the subject and is well written . It's also inexpensive and small in size. It covers it all, from the basic taking of the image to the final enlargement. A good book that has stood the test of time.
