About the Author

Susan Colclazer, a native Virginian, has worked her way westward with the National Park Service. Starting in Virginia, she worked in Washington, D.C., Missouri, Colorado, and Arizona before moving to Bryce Canyon National Park in 1986. English courses at the University of Richmond and natural science studies at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and the University of Virginia supplement her psychology courses from Westhampton College in Virginia.
