this item is just beautiful. The blue color is perfect. I can hardly wait to use it. I just need to go to the store to by Saki. And the price is great.

Nice sake should always be drunk cold. Heating it up is only for the poor quality stuff when you want to disguise the taste. And while I like a cup of cheap hot sake on a cold winter's night as much as the next guy, heating up a ginjo or better would be like using single malt scotch to mix a cocktail. A total waste.

Which is why I love this "Cold Sake Set" so much. The bottle is inset with a reservoir for ice that keeps chilling the sake from the inside while you drink it. The bottle holds 12 oz of sake, about the same amount as your standard tokkuri used for heating sake. There are two glasses included, which are the same blue glass as the bottle. The set is available in several colors, but I went for the blue one because I liked its color the best.

About the only problem I have had with this "Cold Sake Set" is that the opening for the ice is smaller than your standard-sized ice cube. You either need to invest in an ice cube tray that makes smaller cubes, or do like I do and just smash your ice cubes down to a manageable size. You could put a little cold water in there with the ice, but I find this makes it difficult to pour especially after the carafe has been refilled a few times!

This is a very nice cold sake set. I had been looking for a cold sake set for a while and finally decided to buy this one. I do not regret this purchase at all. First off, this item sells for a great price and what you get, although not the best sake set and the best glass, is very stylish and efficient.

The bottle has an indentation for ice to keep your sake cold. I would recommend to use small ice cubes and a little bit of water since the indentation is not that big. Second, the glasses are a great size for serving the sake. This is for two people. If you are serving more more people I would recommend getting other sake glasses.

There are different color variations, but I found that the blue one is the most attractive.

Moreover, the box that the set comes in is perfect for storing them. It has compartments to protect them and it is a nice looking box.

Overall, this is a great cold sake set to have and a great gift.

Okay, anyone who loves sake can tell you that only superior quality can be served chilled. This imaginitive bottle and cup set lets you do it in STYLE!!! The bottle is actually bigger than I thought it would be, which is a nice bonus (don't have to keep re-filling). The accent color is almost cobalt blue. . .my favorite! And the set comes packaged by the manufacturer in a lovely, sturdy sectional box that you can use to store it when not in use (like. . .when is that ever going to happen???). LOL

Of course, I LOVE hot sake, too. Honestly, that's my favorite way of imbibing this magical elixir. . .but don't tell the snobs! . . .Just because you like it heated doesn't mean that you HAVE TO be drinking the cheap stuff. :) So I got a hot sake pitcher from this seller at the same time, and I was SO looking forward to using it ASAP. But the beautiful piece was broken upon arrival. It was only bubble-wrapped and left to roll around the remainder of the space in the packing box with just a few "air pillows" loosely thrown in with it. Darn! I am returning it for a full refund from Amazon and will have to re-order all over again, because exchanges aren't possible from the seller. Ah well, I'm sure it was an honest mistake, but I'm still pretty disappointed about the wait.

Anyway, ENJOY your sake with this gorgeous set! The price certainly is right for the excellent quality.

I ordered this for drinking Sake, but can see it being usable for regular drinks as well. It's hard to tell from the blue in the picture, but the blue part is a decent sized cavity. The smaller glasses are similar to shots, and are hand made. I have no complaints about this purchase. It has performed and been exactly as expected.

Its blue it holds sake and theres no holes in it great product. The glasses are a lil big for sake but its fine.

This is a terrible product because it can not be cleaned - to date I have not been able to use this item even once -I put it in the dishwasher and little sand like crumbs stuck to the inside of the glass. No amount of soaking or re wash will get them off. There is no brush that will fit around the ice holder in the bottle to clean this item - if something gets stuck on the glass you'll just have to toss it. I'm going to have to throw this item away w/out even using it once because I can not clean it!

After reading reviews of how nice this set was for the money, I bought it for my boyfriend. Reviews stated it came in a nice box, suitable for storing the set in. My set arrive in a dented up box, in which I thought my nice box would be inside. Wrong. The pieces of the set where wrapped in tissue paper, but them shoved in the box with random bits of cardboard and foam peanuts, as if it had been a return poorly packed by someone. Also, everything was really dirty. Worst of all, I wrote an email asking if this was how it was typically packed, as I hoped to get a nice gift set in a box, and never heard back from the company. Poor Customer service for sure. I ended up giving it as a gift anyway, after washing everything and getting my own gift box.

It's glass and it's blue and it has matching saki glasses.. It works, delivered in a timely matter and packaged well. It's trendy and unique because you can put ice-cubes in the blue opening to cool your drink on a hot day.

But who knew this economy would tank; save your money and use up old Yahrzeit Candles. Believe me its not sacrilegious. Cheers to your deceased Aunt Sadie as you drink up your sake in this tres nifty glass.
the perfect size for sake if you like to drink more than a few tiny sips. Save your old stuff and reuse it again and again. Who knows how long this recession will last before it turns into a full blown depression.
