This review is from: A pipe smoker's guide (Paperback)
The copy of this book that I acquired dates back to 1969, and even mentions the ongoing war in Vietnam in the book. The book is very interesting for a pipe smoker, as it is the only book I have found thus far that describes in detail the workings of a pipe "factory" where smoking pipes are made, how the briar is harvested etc. There is a lot of historical information in the book, ancedotes, on tobacco use and pipe smoking in particular, as well as taxes levied against the weed by various governments. The paperback book is quite small, at about 120 pages, and physically about 4.5x7 inches, and was printed in the UK. I am pleased to have read the book and plan to re-read it again today.
