This adapter will work fine for any device that does not have a polarized plug, meaning that the neutral blade of the plug is not wider than the hot blade. However, many plugs today are polarized with the neutral blade being wider. This adapter has two openings just wide enough for the narrower hot blade and will not accept the wider blade. In my case the plug on my electric shaver and camera battery charger work fine (because both blades are the same width) but my wife's curling iron plug will not. Looks like it can be fixed with a file.

used this without trouble for about a month and a half in australia without a hitch. fit all sockets perfectly and the adapter held all of my plugs without making me worry about starting a fire. would recommend for sure.

Unfortunately, these are poorly made adapters. One of them blew out the fuse in my hotel room in New Zealand twice and had to be replaced by the hotel maintenance engineer both times. Had to throw them both away because I didn't trust the other one and didn't want to risk blowing the fuse out again. You're better off waiting until you arrive in the country/city you're traveling too and purchasing them there.

Good solid item that will provide years use of. Some if these connector have soft metal pins and are quite flimsy, but the pins on this are quite robust.

Product delivered in time to meet need however of the 5 items purchased 2 are the wrong part number (UK to Aust plug adaptor not US to Aust). As the items is only worth a couple of dollars each I could not be bothered chasing it up. I wish maybe a little closer attention to detail had been paid by the supplier.

I needed this adapter to use with my penguin shaped waffle maker that I ordered from New Zealand. This adapter works great and seems to be super sturdy. It was a little difficult to plug the cord into the New Zealand side of the adapter because the metal part inside was off center from the outer plastic case, but with a good push and a little wiggling it finally went in. This doesn't change the voltage so my waffle iron never quite gets as hot as it should but the waffles turn out ok.
