I downloaded Little Piano (free version) to my Kindle Fire, and it installed and ran just fine. The developer's description says: "Little Piano is perfect for kids' little fingers and makes a great introduction to piano-playing for those who don't read music." I agree with that. I don't play any musical instruments, but it was pretty easy (and fun) to knock out a few tunes on the large keyboard. Better still, two of our young nieces were with us, since they were out of school for Christmas. They had a great time playing "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" on the keyboard.

The app includes about two dozen songs that can be played by touching whichever key is highlighted. There are also five different instruments to choose from, including piano, trumpet, guitar, bells, and percussion. Piano is by far the best and most realistic sound, at least to my ears.

Little Piano doesn't claim to be a comprehensive piano emulator. With only one octave and fourteen keys (8 white, 6 black), the music that can be produced is limited. The app is rated "Children," which is defined by Amazon as ages 9 and younger, so I think that's how it should be evaluated. With that in mind, I have no problem giving Little Piano a 5-star rating.

Note: The only difference that I noticed between the free version and the paid version (pro) is that the free version has a small advertising banner at the top of the screen.

I think its nice because you can trick your friends because they'll think you're playing a song by yourself, which u could be doing, but a cool feature allows u to pick a song and then a key will turn blue when you're suppose to play it. Cool, huh!

Suggestions to the creator, please allow a replay button easily accessible when playing the "follow me" tune. Its frustrating to have to go to option scroll down to the tune of choice and play it again. Overall Ai think this app is great for a quick piano lession in the spare time that you have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun! November 23, 2011

I figured I didn't have anything to lose by downloading the app since it was free and I'm glad I did because I have been playing with it since I downloaded it, which is something I don't usually do. I like the follow me tunes best (since I don't know how to play a piano).
