These are a very comfortable stretch nylon type fabric that looks like cotton. Lots of room in the legs which makes them great for hot weather. Ideal for me would be slightly longer and tighter at the calf - but these are great if you want your knees covered but don't anything to collect mud at your ankles. Overall, very nice.
