5.0 out of 5 stars Great Customer Service and a Solid Pant
I wore my Prana Ranger pants into the ground until they were ripped and shredded because the fabric couldn't take any more washes. Though the Ranger is gone the people over at Prana suggested I try the Stretch Zion. I got the black pair and it's been bullet proof. Use if for my bike rides, around the house, to the gym...pretty much everything. with the button up legs it...

2.0 out of 5 stars Bizarre sizing, like wearing a nylon bag
I had hoped that this would be a replacement for ex-officio's amphi pant which was great until they decided to "neo" it. I wanted a light nylon pant that I could travel and hike in. This pant has a weird sizing. It doesn't seem to follow true inseam and waist size. But the worst is the fabric which is some kind of thick lycra/nylon unbreathable thing, thicker than a...

Though the Ranger is gone the people over at Prana suggested I try the Stretch Zion. I got the black pair and it's been bullet proof. Use if for my bike rides, around the house, to the gym...pretty much everything. with the button up legs it becomes quite versatile. I was at the Denver airport the other day and I noticed nearly everybody wears jeans nowadays. I'll wear jeans...for an evening on the town. Man, if you want utility with some style these will do the trick! I just wish they had more colors.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great pant, October 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Great pants! The fabric is thinner than the earlier models of these pants and shorts but overall still a great fitting quality product as with most of Prana's stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Light, Comfortable, Warm, April 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I just spent two weeks backpacking in southern Patagonia. I bought these pants for the trip and it was one of the best outdoor purchases I have made. Besides these pants being extremely light and comfortable they have incredible wind resistance that I did not anticipate. After spending 10 days in a land where the wind blows so hard and often that trees and bushes grow in one direction I was very glad that prAna took the wind into account. Also the pant is cool when the weather turns hot and if it gets really hot you can roll up the bottoms and use the built in snaps to prevent them from rolling back down. The Stretch is no joke there is not restriction when walking, running, scrambling and crouching.

I where a 32X34 and med fits perfectly but there is a little cinch strap for the waist to make the waist a little more snug if such a fit is desirable. There are no belt loops sot take that into consideration.

All in all these pants have great climate control I will get another pair when these wear out and maybe sooner. I am can't wait to get these pants out on some technical climbs and see how they hold up but I have nothing but high expectations.

This pant has a weird sizing. It doesn't seem to follow true inseam and waist size. But the worst is the fabric which is some kind of thick lycra/nylon unbreathable thing, thicker than a tent fabric. I suppose if you don't sweat, live in a cold climate and plan to stay there, avoid the tropics completely, maybe. I missed sending it back within the week time limit. Can't stand to wear the thing. I can't imagine doing yoga in this.

2.0 out of 5 stars not the usual Prana quality, October 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love Prana pants. I use them for yoga, hiking, running. However, these pants are not up to their usual quality. They are poorly made, and pill very quickly(3rd wear, 2nd wash), making them look old and not at all appropriate to wear anywhere except for maybe yardwork. I would not buy them again, and am seeking a warranty refund from Prana.

5.0 out of 5 stars I have multiple pairs and wear these pants almost every day., September 9, 2011

First bought Prana Stretch Zion as a short. Now have 3 pairs of the shorts and 4 pairs of the long pants. The stretch and the built in belt makes airport security easier (no belt to remove) and the stretch makes the pants comfortable for long periods of sitting or walking or any activity at all. I love this garment. The downside is I now like all my other pants much less. Sizing is a tad unusual. I wear a 34" waist, but the Prana Medium size is perfect for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best pants ever, January 25, 2011

I bought two pair of the Zion pants almost 3 years ago and I wish I had bought more! (Hard to find in mediums, now.) I wear them both all the time. Love the 3% lycra: you can do anything with them on, including yoga, hiking, bouldering, and going out to dinner. Ideal travel pants. I was a little concerned about the exposed stitching but it never caught or ripped. 2 zippered thigh pockets are great for wallet, passport, etc, while traveling. I almost never roll up the bottoms but the snap feature is great if you're walking along the beach. They dry very quickly. I'm a 32" waist and 32" inseam, & the medium is just a bit loose in the waist and bit short on the length for me. One caveat - the belt system is relatively useless; if I tighten it, it never seems to hold. Minor issue for what are the best all-purpose pants I've ever owned, and I've got a closet full of Columbia, REI and Ex Officio.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, January 14, 2011

Got this for my brother-in-law and he likes them a lot. He used to climb in jeans and much prefers climbing in these! They look great - much different than the picture, in my opinion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Fit, January 12, 2011
This review is from: prAna Men's Stretch Zion Pant (Apparel)
I'm a contractor overseas, that wanted a durable pair of pants while working in some harsh conditions but also wanted something for hiking and outdoor activities. The Prana Zion were a perfect fit. I bought two pair and just bought another. Contrary to other posts I think they are very breathable and fit well. The pants also dry quickly.

The one con to the pants is no belt loops. The built in "belt" is ok but belt loops would have been better.

All in all the Prana Zion stretch pants are a "prefect fit" for me!
