More About the Author

Benson Grayson served as a Foreign Service Officer of the State Department and subsequently as a reporter covering the Washington political scene. He has several novels under way based on this experience. However, he opted to first complete "My Troubles With Time," because of his lifelong interest in science fiction. This interest dates back to his time in the fourth grade. His principal chastized her students for wasting their time reading comic books instead of good literature. When Benson Grayson brashly asked her to give an example of interesting good literature, she cited H.G. Wells' "The War of Worlds." Young Grayson gave it a try and was promptly hooked.

Mr. Grayson is the author of six published books on history and foreign affairs. These include "Russian-American Relations In World War I," published by Frederick Ungar Publishing Co. in 1979 and "Soviet Intentions And American Options In The Middle East," published by the National Defense University Press in 1982.

Mr. Grayson resides in Alexandria Virginia with his wife, Helen, and his himalayan cat, Littlebit, who attempts to dominate the Grayson household despite her tiny size. A previous Grayson pet cat, Cooper, has a bit part in "My Troubles With Time." Mr. Grayson says he decided not to include Littlebit in the book out of fear she would demand a starring role.
