I chose the product for the price for a single family use, and the good reviews. Most small appliances will be one year warranty with a choice to buy extended insurance for a small price and I chose to do that.

I'm extremely satisfied with the product; your warranty questions should be directed to Breville. For a $99 product who gives a hoot about an extra 4 years? Works wonderfully and LOOKS great sittiing on the countertop. Previous one was so huge and black I had to put it in the cabinets. LOL

It probably has something to do with the price point. It is only $99. If you're new to juicing, which I was, I thought it was fine to try. My younger sister who had breast cancer last year was really encouraging me to try this as part of eating healthy. I love the taste of the juice and it's pretty easy also.
Who cares about the warranty, if it gets broken buy a new one.
