5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable and heart warming - Good Reading
Julie Garwood's Rose series (For the Roses, One White Rose, One Red Rose, One Pink Rose) are awesome. Easy to read and enjoyable. 3.0 out of 5 stars One pink, one white, and one red rose!
I thoroughly enjoyed For The Roses- and went straight to the library to find these three smaller books. Their length did not bother me. But they seemed a little shallow. I did enjoy the story for One White Rose. It's the best to me. The others seemed silly and unrealistic, especially One Red Rose. I am glad I read them because I would always have been curious about them...

They are all books that you can't put down, eagerly reading to see what happens next and when you finish, you're wanting more of the story and can't seem to wait for the next book in the series. You'll find yourself smiling as you read with enjoyment the stories bound by love and respect for one another, and their bonds that are stronger than any blood ties. Suggestion to author: Hey Julie, why not giving us a book on Mama Rose????

4.0 out of 5 stars Short but Sweet, November 8, 2011
I loved Emily she was a strong woman that was sick of crap she was dealt in the past, but at the same time she was very rash. So she decided to find her own destiny, and of course fate had her own plans. Still she found it. Again there is characters you fall for that you wonder if you will ever see again but that is what makes a world interesting. It makes your head wander and you do not want to leave the world you just left.

Both Travis and Emily do some growing up in this book. A refreshing read.

5.0 out of 5 stars This little book had me laughing out loud!, April 22, 2006
Every once in a while, I look for a quality book I can finish in an afternoon off. This book is about the size of a Harlequin paperback, which fit that category for me. Rarely do I find that I want a Harlequin to go longer: that is not the case with "One Pink Rose."
I really liked this book. Travis, the lead male and part of the famous Julie Garwood "Clayborne Brothers," is a smart, funny, down to earth man who gets asked to escort an equally smart, but kind of dingy young lady named Emily to her mail order husband up in the hills.
Of course, sparks fly between Travis and Emily, and their story is cute, their conversations witty and funny, and the passion is hot. Even though it was over a little period of time (A few days), it was written so you believe they fall for one another.
When the book ended, it was like a movie that you want to see the sequel for. What happened to them? I read the other Clayborne books, and they only had little references of Travis and Emily. Out of all those couples, they were the best in my opinion.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love Julie Garwood!, January 27, 2003
Her books are awsome! She is one of the top romance writter in my book I have read 17 of Julie Garwood's novels and she astounds me every time I read a new one. I suggest if you want to read this book start with the book "For the Roses" then go onto read "One Pink Rose", "One white Rose", and "One Red Rose" and then read "Come the Spring" These books are all about the Claybourne family and how they strived to survive raising an abandoned baby that they found in New York and turning her into a lady. After their little Mary Rose is grown up and Married to a highland Lawyer named Harrison each brother is tempted by women into settling down will the brothers run or face the destiny that MAMA Rose tricks them into.

5.0 out of 5 stars One Pink, One White and One Red, March 7, 2001

I'm writing one review for all three of these wonderful "little" books. Too little! I would have loved to have more lengthy stories about all the brothers but each of these were very good. I was so thrilled to find out the saga would continue and J.G. didn't let me down!

5.0 out of 5 stars One Pink Rose, December 20, 2000

Any Julie Garwood fan will love this book. As an avid Garwood follower I was happy she followed up on the Clayborne brothers we met in For the Roses. I highly recommend that you read For the Roses before One Pink Rose---there are quite a few references to people and places you will enounter in For the Roses. It is a quick and delightful read.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Clayborne brothers are simply the best...., August 30, 1997
By A Customer
I couldn't put this book down, and i couldn't stop myself from buying 'For The Roses', 'One White Rose' and 'One Red Rose'. I eagerly anticipate her next book 'Come The Spring' which will bring more stories of the four tough, protective and loving brothers and their sister along with the people they have married. 'One Pink Rose' features Travis Clayborne, the youngest of all the Clayborne brothers, who accompanies a young lady called Emily Finnegan as a favour for his Mama Rose (if u don't read it, you wouldn't understand) because she is a mail-orde bride for someone called Clifford O'Toole. Along the way there, he inevatably falls in love with her, but not before she does so with him. A captivating story! Highly reccommended

Ms. Garwood is new to me. I usually do not read books with a western theme but bought this one since it was on the best seller list. As soon as I finished I went out and bought For The Roses, finished it and am now looking for One White Rose and One Red Rose

4.0 out of 5 stars Great quick read!, June 5, 1997
By A Customer
This was a fast and fun book to read. Written in typical Garwood style, she delivers fun and laughs along with familiar characters. This book may not challenge you too much, but you'll definately yourself while reading it. The characters are funny and the love story is touching. I read it in one night
