Watching these real couples share the initimate details of their lives was one of the most beautiful and challenging things I've ever seen. Beautiful ... beautifully presented, sweet, sincere couples who put genuine effort into their partnership and sexuality. They remove shame, secrecy, mystery and fill you with a sense of belonging to the human race. I loved how natural and candid they were. Challenging ... Most of us are not brought up with a sense of freedom and joy surrounding our bodies and sexuality. Because of this, I doubt my capacity to enjoy some of the activities they exhibit yet I thought it was all wonderful. The way the video melds actual sexual positions and activities with discussions makes it much more along the lines of a documentary. This is not at all like watching a hardcore porn movie yet you will see very explict and exciting sex and likely spend most of the time greatly aroused. It is like being given a rare window into someone's home and life to observe some really interesting and lovely ways of interacting with our "beloved," as they so lovingly refer to one another. They reminded me of the importance of honoring myself and my beloved in all things. They reminded me of the importance and necessity of slowing down my life, taking time and making pleasure an absolute priority.

When I watched this tape I actually cried, it made me realize that I have neve made love to anyone in my life.I have only experienced very crude, base sex-essentially a hit and run event. The way the movie was filmed was explicit, but not pornopgraphic, the couples talked about their levels of discomfort, and the narrartor assisted by making suggestings and comments to help with the "shyness" or lack of control. I have always said "Sex starts as soon as you wake up in the morning." The daily devotion exercise proved that I was right. If more couples would take the time to learn this technique the divorce rate would be a lot lower. If you are looking for pronography this is the wrong video; this video is about love, nuturing and caring for your partner on a spritual/sexual plane.

Sacred Sex provides a broad overview of various philosophies and physical activities that can help you achieve greater energy in your life and a fuller relationship with your partner. The advice is given by people who practise what they preach. The couples are good to look at but not unreal and you remain aware that you are watching an instructional video. The activities demonstrated and recommended are easy to follow. As a guide, it is recommended that you place a priority on your relationship, keep yourself active, practise various breathing techniques and a range of other activities to energise and awaken your physical and spiritual selves. A number of physical activities are demonstrated that need not necessarily lead to sexual union eg blindfolding your partner and introducing them to a range of sensations such as feathers on the skin, the smell of a flower or fruit, sounds etc Although the movie demonstrates the sort of sex we think of as "tantric" sex (very slow and extended) the emphasis is on a achieving a whole union with your partner, including emotional nuturing . Sacred Sex is much more practical and useful than The Kama Sutra which emphasises the various (very athletic and uncomfortable looking) positions illustrated in the famous manuscript and only glancingly touches on the fuller emotional, spiritual and sensual aspects of human relationship. Sacred Sex is well pitched at an audience that has some basic understanding of philosophies of the union of body and spirit. I would recomend this video to anyone hoping to improve their relationship.

During a recent bridal shower, a friend gave this movie to the soon-to-be bride. We popped it into the VCR and there was total silence as we watched this great hour long video. The video shows you real couples(with not so perfect bodies, like most of us), sharing their most intimate moments on film for the purpose of educating us. Most of us adults make love to our spouses on a regular basis, but do we ever really take the time to truly enjoy and ourselves and our sexuality?. What I really liked about the video is that it's made up like a documentary and not like a porn movie. There's no close-up shots of your insides, yet it shows many exotic, sensual and arousing positions, with step by step instructions and comments. Most of us would like to think that we're experts in the area of lovemaking, but believe me this video has so much to offer and can be a welcoming eye-opener.It was all wonderful. This video stresses the inmportance of taking the time to enjoy and spice up your sex life. For people who have fallen into a routine, this video will lift you right out of that and put the excitement and spice back into your life. After the video, we all sat around and discussed it. We were pleased with it and now I own my own copy.

Watch this movie if you are looking for something great in your sex-life! This does not dwell deep into achieving the levels, but it does provide many beginner level exercises that you can do with your lover that will greatly enhance your sexual experience! A must have for giving lovers.

There is an Eastern emphasis on directing sexual energy. Since it is about sharing yourself with your lover, the men in the film don't typically act like the stereo typical image of what a man should be doing during sex. If your a guy and looking for the ultimate magical tool to give a woman the ultimate sexual experience, without revealing much about yourself, then this movie will be disappointing.

I recommend "Tantric Love" by Ma Ananda to go along with this movie. It's a short read and has some good insights. For adding extra methods to the movie I recommend "Secrets of Sensual Lovemaking" by Tom Leonardi and "The Illustrated Guide to Extended Massive Orgasm" by Steve, Ph.D. Bodansky, Vera, Ph.D. Bodansky.

It was really good for us to watch it. Some of the exercises and communications techniques are very helpful. This is an excellent guide for any couple desiring more intimacy, trust and better quality of relationship. Any age! It is best for people who are in a commited relationships. Highly reccomend!

I was skeptical when I first saw this video. Since then I have bought it, lent it to lots of friends and given it as a gift -- for a wedding shower and an anniversary present. My partner and I have incorporated a number of the practices outlined here into our relationship -- on a sometimes-when-we-feel-like-it basis. It has definitely increased our gentleness toward each other and feeling connected. The communication pieces have been extremely helpful. Some of it is silly (undulating? A little too out there for us) but much of it is great. If either of us wakes up in a lousy mood, all we have to do is practice the daily devotion for 5 - 10 minutes in the morning and we both feel peaceful, loving and happy. Hard to believe but true. This video could be life changing if you want it to be. Or it could just be a guide to better sex.
