This one comes with it all. It has 2 cars, several peices with characters on them. One has a snail, another has a spider and one has a sunny face. Plus there are several eye peices and curvy peices for hands or feet on the Mechs or animals you or your child builds. My baby is 14 month's old and I got her this set for her 1st birthday. She likes the size of the bucket and that she can easily grab into it and pull out any peice she wants. She has a lot of fun with the cars that snap together to make a train. I had to buy another set to add more cars to it for her. She is very good at taking apart the characters or structures her mommy and daddy build for her. She can't quite yet build anything herself yet, but she's getting there. She has a lot fo fun with this toy. It is the perfect starter Lego set and an excellent deal!

This is a great set of blocks for toddlers. The only negative aspect is the lack of trucks or vehicles for them to use, so you end up supplementing with additional boxes (which is ok too). My daughter loves these blocks, but we still had to add more for her to build with. Overall, a great product!

In my experience with this toy, I have seen my son develop such creativity. This toy is extremely durable. As long as your child is out of the chewing stage, it is safe to purchase this toy. Legos challenge the child to be creative and inventive. They can follow the suggested directions or create their own invention. I would recommend this toy to any parent looking to give their child a creative outlet. This toy is timeless.

This is a favorite of both me and my almost 3 year old daughter! Even though my little one is technically too young for these she has been building with them since before she turned 2. I keep them on a shelf and she asks me at least once a day to get them down (I watch her closely with them), she can spend easily an hour building her little heart out. My heart melts when she beams with pride as she shows me her creations, "Mommy look! I built it for you!".

*I* love this toy for all of the creativity I see it building in my little girl. I am a huge fan of the fact that it's just a big tub of lots of Lego's and isn't packaged to tell my little one what she is going to build but that she can build from her imagination. I also love that the container it comes in is big enough to keep adding more so all of your Lego's are always in one container...I even throw in the ones I get out of those Kid's meals!

You can't go wrong with Lego's and you especially can't go wrong with the LEGO Bulk Tub!

This is the best toy!! My son has been playing with this set for 2 years now. He's moved on to the regular size Legos now, but he still plays with this set too.

Hurry and get the GREEN Dulpos box. I saw the new yellow Duplos box at another toy store, and it doesn't contain any special bricks like this one does. This one has 2 wheeled flat pieces, 3 pieces with a spider, sun, and snail, and a door and a window. My guess is that they will discontinue the green Duplos box soon. The yellow Duplos box has no special pieces, but they added black and orange bricks to the set. How sad!

Santa brought this for our daughter when she was 1 year old and today at 6 she still builds with it practically everyday. She has moved from making towers, to sorting by color and size to now building "Princess" castles or a new house for "Mommy".

I am about to purchase this for my neice for her 2nd birthday and hope she gets as much fun and education out of it as my own daughter did.

On another note, the box is sturdy, we had a baby friend over this weekend and he was pulling himself up on the box. We love our Legos in this house :)

Our son can't get enough out of these legos!He wants to play with them all day/everyday! We also bought the green plate that goes along with the duplo legos. He will stack and fit them together on that and have a ball!

My two year old daughter loves these blocks. She plays with them almost everyday. I like to play with them too. She likes to make me a house and car. Very easy to do and so much fun!

You can't go wrong with Legos. I bought this tub for my 1 year old. Right now she's interested in taking the blocks out and taking the creations I build apart. Even though she doesn't understand the idea of building, the box of blocks keeps her interest. Even if it's just for the noise of searching through the tub. I only wish that they had more windows, eyes, and fun blocks. Maybe one more car wheel block would be nice as well.

I previously reviewed this item about a year ago and recently purchased a third tub. It seems that not only have they changed the name of the item to include the Duplo title, but they also changed the contents. Some of the blocks feature new colors, including light blue, light green and orange. It is still an excellent set and now includes many of the half-thickness rectangles. It is still durable and great for creative quiet fun time. However, I wish I could change my five star rating to a four star rating because:

It now has only one wheeled piece - how do you make a choochoo with only 1?? :(

It now has only a window and no door - a good house needs a good door!
