5.0 out of 5 stars Case: The best one I've had
I went to L.A. last month. My GBA and my games and accessories ended up on the bottom of my backpack. You don't want this to happen to you. This has truly saved my GBA and my games. The Summary:
If you want to carry a gameboy, a few accessories, and a handful of games around with you, this is a pretty reasonable way to do it and protect your games. If you want to transport a large collection or large accessories, you will need to find some other way.

I went to L.A. last month. My GBA and my games and accessories ended up on the bottom of my backpack. You don't want this to happen to you. This has truly saved my GBA and my games. It stores Game Boy color consoles or the GBA console. plus it holds a lot of games of either, and you still have a lot of room to store your helpful wormlight, your adapter, your game link and even has enough room to hold your other personal stuff. I bet the only thing it can't hold is an elephant, or one of those annoying roll cages, that just help you to waste your money. If your thinking of buying the other cases, you shouldn't. They hardly have any room. You can only hold you console, and a couple of games. They cost like 5 dollars less, but they're not worth it. This case even has a padded shoulder strap, so you'll be comfortable. This is a must for those of you who like to travel with you GBA or GBC.

The Summary:
If you want to carry a gameboy, a few accessories, and a handful of games around with you, this is a pretty reasonable way to do it and protect your games. If you want to transport a large collection or large accessories, you will need to find some other way.

About the Case:
The case is small and compact -- as it should be. This is handy in terms of carrying around your gameboy or packing it in another bag, but you need to be mindful that this is a small bag and may not carry your entire set of games and accessories. There are three compartments: the main compartment, a secondary compartment, and a stretch cell phone compartment.

The Main Compartment:
The main compartment has a large fitted area for your Game Boy, but the game boy must have no attachments in order to fit -- no lights, no magnifier.
There are two cartridge compartments next to the main compartment that will hold 4 GBA games standing vertically, or 3 "old" gameboy color games laying horizontally. I suppose you could pack in 4 gameboy color games here, but that's a stretch in my opinion.
There is room for a ninth GBA game between these two sections. This ninth slot will not hold old gameboy color games.
If you have protective cases for your games, you will need to take the games out of their cases to fit them into the slots.

The Secondary Compartment:
The secondary compartment opens by zipper and is suitable for storing a few small accessories. I think you could probably fit a gameboy itself into this secondary compartment (if you didn't want to put it in the main compartment for some reason, but not with much room to spare.

The Cell Phone Compartment:
This is sort of an elastic side compartment. I use it to store my old-style gameboy cable -- I haven't found a use for it otherwise really (unless of course you've got a cell phone to put there). This compartment doesn't close reliably enough to hold additional batteries, and is too open to store things that might get dust or grit in them.

What is Missing:
The main compartment needs some kind of strap to secure the gameboy down, like the kind laptop cases have. While the case is closed and snapped shut, having the gameboy fallout is probably impossible, but if you opened it carelessly your GBA and the games could fall out and be damaged. This is especially true if you have the old gameboy games in the main compartment, since they lie in such a way that they would have the greatest chance of falling out.

Protection:

As a general rule these protections apply to the main compartment. The cell phone compartment is unprotected, and the secondary compartment is reasonably protected except from impacts.

Protection Against Rain:
Probably okay in light rain. I think things in the main compartment would be alright. The main compartment isn't sealed, and the flap doesn't have an overlapping cover at the top, so I suppose rain could get into the case if it was a real shower or something.

Protection Against Dust:
Fine unless you bathe it in dust storm. I don't think the case is really rated against sitting in the back of a truck on a dry dirt road, but it should be very nice against protecting the day to day dust from getting into your cartridges in an indoor room or preventing "backpack grit" from getting at it.

Protection Against Impact:
Should be OK against coincidental bumps and smacks. 5 of 6 sides of the main compartment are surrounded by hard plastic of fairly reassuring thickness. The six side (the side that opens) is not, but all 6 sides are padded with about 1/4 inch (I am estimating) of padding. Again, I think this is fine to keep things from getting accidentally crushed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice., November 1, 2001
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've been looking around for a while for a decent case for my GBA, but all of them just seemed too small. Not so with this one. Plenty of room for 9 GBA (plus one in the system makes 10), and there is also plenty of room for an AC adaptor (maybe not the Mad Katz, but the official one), a link cable, and a few other odds and ends.

I highly recomend this case for anyone getting a GBA, but get it soon, you don't want to end up like me and have scratches all over your screen (which is very very easy to do).

5.0 out of 5 stars Good case!, December 21, 2002
By A Customer
I have had this case for about a year and has served me well. It has came in handy on trips. It can hold up to about 10 games. It also has a pouch on the top of it, and I manage to put a e-reader,game boy camera, and a worm light. So over all this is a very good case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect to go around..., January 11, 2002
I believe is the best,as it protects your GBAd and your cartidges, and makes you feel save to go around on your bike or skate;or why not to leave it at home and make sure that if your maid or dog walk by nothing will happen to it.But don't expect to place a lot extra, perhaps your wormlight,a couple of extra batteries and some coins.questions?sure!:mario.mendoza@csfb.com

4.0 out of 5 stars GBA ( gameboy advance, at it's .......), January 5, 2003

The gameboy is better than the old one. It's louder, has better
games, and has a bigger screen. I heard it even had something
that lets you get color TV. I gave it 4 stars because some of the
games are expensive for a kid who wants the game system and 2 games.
