Cheesy TV... Yet it's good viewing!,
By Bruno S. (Bronx, New York USA) - See all my reviews It's a talent search but the twist is, judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul get to tell you how you did right after. Did I mention they are brutally honest? The best part is the actual talent search, with the judges going from city to city. It gets a bit cheesy during finals, and ultimately you are not too satisfied with the top 10. Jim and EJay anyone? It's also frustrating to see your favorites mess up, Ryan Starr's "You Really Got Me", Nikki's "Always Something There To Remind Me", and the seemingly unstoppable Tamyra Gray's mistep "New Attitude." But it's still entertaining. If you liked the show buy this. It's fun to watch and it also is loaded with performances. If your favorite one makes it you have at least 12 of their performances on DVD.

Fans of the show will love this.,
By Even though I was squarely in this Justin camp once the tragedy of Tamyra's ouster was announced, I don't deny Kelly's talent, and am here now to pre-order her single. Kelly, Justin and Tamyra may all have very large careers beyond AI, but even if they don't, I'm so enthused that these kids made a rather long hot summer seem to fly by, each creating a desire to (a) watch Fox during summer, (b) bring their talents into my living room twice a week, and (c) look forward to supporting their careers. When was the last time anyone WANTED a pop star to succeed from jump? You can't remember, and neither can I.
