I searched and searched to find a bedroom TV for my mom for Christmas. I wanted a new set as opposed to adding a converter tuner box as she wanted to do. She lives in a rural area and does not have cable or a dish. The TV is fantastic in all respects. It is a hidden gem, as it turned up in only a few of the many searches I did on the Internet for 24-26" LCD TVs I don't know why. The picture is very sharp and yet vivid. The big sell for me was the sound. In all of the reviews of TVs 26" and under (especially under) they all ranked the audio as sub-par. Most users said that they used external amplifiers and speakers to circumvent the problem. I don't know if this was their intent when buying the other sets or not. On the Pyle, the sound was as good as it gets - clear loud and rich. The remote is also very good with "favorite" buttons that she is comfortable using. The reception is the other strong point. It is phenomenal. Within a 1/2 mile radius there are other family members with a total of five (5) other sets or converter boxes. No one can pull in the number of channels that she can with the Pyle. All we have is a set of rabbit ears laying in the attic. The stations not only not only come in numbers but come in strong as well. She has no fringe stations. The channels change rather quickly compared to most digital setups. I will say that the text on screen for the channel number and station names is a bit small. I would buy again and again. I do wish they made a larger size, but for bedroom/kitchen/bath applications; this set is hard to beat.
