2008 model so much better than older models
I have owned 3 Peg Perego Aria Strollers and this 2008 model has been far better than the other 2 I previously owned (2002 and a 2005). What I really love about my Aria...first of all the Moka color is a great gender neutral color that doesn't SHOUT!. A great upgrade that Peg perego made to the 2008 model is the wheel housing, its has been redesigned so it actually steers...

Good
a) The material is awesome--very high quality.
b) basket is awesome for a light weight stroller
c) Love the recline.

I have owned 3 Peg Perego Aria Strollers and this 2008 model has been far better than the other 2 I previously owned (2002 and a 2005). What I really love about my Aria...first of all the Moka color is a great gender neutral color that doesn't SHOUT!. A great upgrade that Peg perego made to the 2008 model is the wheel housing, its has been redesigned so it actually steers wonderfully, like your driving on air! It moves so smooth and manuevers corners well, so much better than the older models (the steering sucked on those). I can push this around with one hand and not get stuck or have the wheels get caught up on something. Has a full ratcheting canopy that completely covers the baby (love this feature), a decent basket (Graco kicks butt in this dept), this stroller is extremely lightweight at approx 10 lbs, I can fold this up and throw it into my trunk (while 8 mos pregnant) with one hand!! This stroller has a redesigned parent cupholder, but I don't use it. I purchased a ten dollar Sunshine Kids parent tray (2 cupholders, 1 large storage compartment and 1 small zipper pocket) that velcros onto the handle bar and works prefect for me. The seatback is taller than most standard strollers so it will accomodate taller children for a longer period. Reclines almost flat which is a great feature for newborns. The tray pivots opne and close, has 2 cupholders, and a very small main tray spot. Why I gave it 4 stars, well there is NO PERFECT stroller that I have ever come across (and I am on my 4th kid!). The basket coul dbe better (bigger and stronger). The stroller could actually come with a parent tray (althought my remedy works great, but for the money Peg should have one). The seat sits lower than most strollers at about the height of umbrella strollers or a tad higher, however this is probably what makes it so compact and easy to store in your trunk. I am not a fan of drawstring reclines, I like the bar that gives a fixed position (Venezia and Pliko have this), once again though this adds to the lightweight feature. And lastly I wish the kids tray was a little bigger to actually fit something on the tray part instead of having 2 cupholders. Overall this stroller has almost everything that I wanted and needed...except the HIGH preice tag. Dont think its worth the cost, but no other stroller has what I was looking for without being big and heavy and bulky.

Better than Pliko, September 4, 2008
When I went in to the store to compare the Peg Pliko with the Peg Aria, I couldn't believe the differences. I had gone in thinking I would prefer the Pliko, but when I realized the following things, I quickly changed my mind: the Aria weighs 10 lbs, the Pliko 18 lbs; the storage basket underneath is the same, if not bigger on the Aria; the storage basket can be accessed from the back on the Aria, but only on the front on the Pliko; they are both compatible with the Viaggio car seat; the Aria is lighter, less bulky, but still maintains most of the bells and whistles of the Pliko. I received it in the mail today from Amazon after getting a much better deal here than any other store (online or brick & mortar). While the directions were a bit ambiguous, I was able to put it together in about 10 minutes, or less. Pretty simple stuff. I love it - wouldn't use any other!

Sports Car of Strollers, September 5, 2008
We bought this stroller when my 4-year-old was an infant and are using it again with our newborn daughter. This stroller is fabulous if you are looking for something that is lightweight and easy to steer. My sister has a HUGE Graco stroller. With this stroller, we can manage our way through any small aisles in stores, while my sister often has to avoid smaller aisles. The upside to larger, heavier strollers is that they have big baskets underneath them. The Aria does not. HOWEVER, I personally would prefer driving a sports car of a stroller to the SUVs that so many other strollers (like my sister's Graco) are. I bought a few S hooks to attach to the push bar so that I can attach bags to the stroller when I am shopping.
I would highly recommend this stroller because of how easy it is to maneuver.

Happy With Aria!, March 1, 2009
Researched a tested dozens of strollers before taking the plunge on the Aria. Got my Aria when baby was 3 months old, a year ago now. This stroller has been perfect! It reclines almost all of the way so a young baby can be in it and great now for when she falls asleep. It's intuitive design has been great. It was between this and the Maclaren and I don't regret the decision at all. This one has one-handed steering, it reclines much easier and it folds with one hand (important when your baby is in the other!). It also doesn't tip when you have the diaper bag on the handles and no baby in it. My friend's Maclarens tip. The fabric does not clean particularly well (but with a toddler, I've given up on some of that or you lose your mind!). Have put many miles on this stroller, use it everyday in New York City (no car so stroller takes extra abuse) and it's held up no problem!

i searched and searched for a light weight stroller and found the aria. i love how smooth it moves , its a great size not so bulkie . closes easily with one hand . my 9 month old loves that he is not buckled in tightly, the harness is free moving so he would sit right on the edge of the seat if he wanted. i gave it 4 starts not five for 3 reasons. 1) i wish the seat would recline more, its not that bad but if i had a new born i'm sure i would need it to go in full recline.2) the tray has a cup in it, well you can remove it for cleaning which is great, but.... my first trip on a plane, they took the stroller and gave it back to me with no cup, very annoying. 3) the stroller has a bottle holder on the side, if you dont want that to get lost you better take it off when you travel , i just took it off and put the harness through it. it would have been better if i didn't have to worry about these accessories falling off and getting lost.
after the aria, i regret buying a bulkie and expensive Bebe Confort stroller, only because the seat had a full recline :(

Lightweight Wonder, February 22, 2009
We bought this stroller for a trip overseas when my baby was 4 months old. Our primary stroller was a bulky travel system from Evenflo, which I hate it now.
This Peg Perego model in particular did the job well. It's very lightweight, which was a main factor for buying it. I also like the fact that it has a kid tray, something that most lightweight strollers don't have. The canopy is probably the largest I have seen in any stroller. It blocks all sun coming down on my baby girl. The padding is very cushy and my daughter seems to be very comfy in it. The seat inclines enough for her to get a nap, which is nice.
The cons I have with this model is the handle bar; for the price of this stroller, you'd think they would put a cushioned handle, but it's a bare piece of plastic. The parent drink holder is pretty much useless, but I didn't buy this for a cup holder. Also this stroller doesn't handle well on rough surfaces. There's no suspension.
In all, I think this is a very good stroller and also stylish. I hardly use my bulky travel system these days after purchasing this one. It makes more sense being practical.
just a note on the color of this stroller. It looks a lot lighter in the picture than in real life. The dark brown in the picture is actually black and the light brown in the picture is actually dark brown.

Now the bad
a) I understand why other people say it is flimsy. The plastic used on the tray is very thin. I would say 1/2 the thickness of graco strollers. The adult handle bar is thin plastic. The frame has too thin of plastic. The seat has a plastic frame which feels flimsy although my son did not mind it and my three year old said it was comfortable.
b) I do worry about if it will be durable enough. I see why peg perego stopped making it. It looks like a big dog stroller but it is flimsy.
I haven't decided if I should return or not. It is a suped up version of a pop stroller which is what I was looking for.
Update: So I have had the stroller for two weeks now. I must say I love how light this stroller is. I have three children so the last thing I want to do is brake my back putting the stroller away in my trunk. Yes, the frame is plastic but you will not find a pop stroller that in more comfortable w/ a recline, snack tray, lg canopy. I also love how the brake lever is large that I can easily do/undo it with my foot. The fold is tricky but not bad. I have to do it slowly as not to scrape the basket bar on the ground. The fold isn't as smooth as I would like but not bad.

Try it first if you have small hands!, June 11, 2009
I don't own this stroller, but wanted to share a word of caution after trying it in the store. My husband tried it first and LOVED how it folded and unfolded and how light it was. I was convinced I wanted it - until I tried it myself. It operates by squeezing two buttons on the handle, placed for thumb and fingers. My hands were simply too small to squeeze both buttons at once, and I could not get the knack of doing it two-handed. That completely took it out of consideration for us. This probably applies to a small percentage of parents, but is a good reason to try it in store before ordering.
Based on my husband's liking it so much, we were also surprised to see that Consumer Reports gave it a low rating as well.

Flimsy, April 15, 2010
Have had this stroller for 2 1/2 years and was bought after what I thought was careful consideration. Despite allowing for its "lightweight" feature, it is very flimsy and wobbled when walking a more than a stroll. Also accessory pieces broke off quickly with normal use. Buckle is overtly complicated for a stroller. Have had the opportunity to use other people's strollers since then and would recommend several over this one. Perhaps at a higher price point these strollers are wonderful, but this version is not worth the money. 1 handed open/close feature is great and useful.

Very happy!, December 6, 2009
This stroller is exactly what I wanted! It is lightweight, compact and easy to use. We travel in the van alot and need to have our trunk area for packing. This stroller takes up about 1/4 of the space in the trunk where our old stroller took up close to 1/2. An added bonus is that our Graco car seat sits fairly securely, but does not latch. We only use it together on very even flooring. The only complaint I have regarding this stroller is that the cup holder spins making a spill of my drink very likely. Since this is a minor inconvenience, I still rate this product 5 stars.
