Bought this for the wife for Christmas. Within 3 months she's had more problems than I've had in 4 years on my Dell laptop. I believe Vista is the culprit, but it's hard to nail down. She's had a multitude of driver problems, software that doesn't work like it's supposed to, and Vista acting up at every turn. My recommendation for this laptop is 'pass'. If it wasn't for the fact that she wanted a pink one (this one specifically) I'd have gotten her a decent laptop.
P.S. Getting assistance from the Sony on-line support is HUGELY frustrating. All I want to do is upgrade the RAM, but I can't figure out how to do it because there's no documentation and the on-line support stinks.
UPDATE: Vista was the problem. Not enough RAM. I loaded another stick and it has run fine since.
