I love these stands. I was using a 10 foot truss, but split in half. So I had a 5 foot section on one stand (with the bracket in the middle), and then the other 5 foot section on another stand. It looked good, but since they were actaul trusses, they were clunky to transport, and there aren't any nice bags to transport them in since I keep my par cans mounted on them at all times. These are so much better because the lights mount on just a single bar and it provides a cleaner more compact look. What I really love is that even with the lights permanantly mounted, I'm able to put the the bar in a speaker stand bag in one side of the bag, and then the light stand on the other side. Very professional looking to come in with my light bar and stands in bags rather than carrying two sections of trussing in that are hard to keep from getting scratched and dinged up.

This stand is pretty crummy right from the start. Almost every review deals with the same issue which horrible packaging. I opened the box to see two broken nob's which were useable but not very easily. The price of this stand use to be 35$ with free two day shipping with prime. That alone is almost half the price of any other stand on amazon. I kept the stand and use it at every gig. I had to American DJ Marvel Scanners both over 25 pounds and the tripod felt strong enough to hold them but I was still a little nervous.

Today I now own 2 of these tripod and a 10 ft. flat truss that runs across the two T bars. It is much sturdier and I was able put 6 lights, 2 Lcd Screens and a spandex DJ screen which I have projector behind the screen creating an awesome looking set up. I have already lined up 3 proms and 4 Middle dances in the next two months because of how cool the set up looks. So the tripods are not the best but when you buy two and with a cross truss it is a very cheap solution to creating an awesome effect!

I was looking to buy two more of these to hold some moving heads I purchased but will not purchase this stand at 50$ knowing I only paid 35$ before. This company needs to come to there senses and sell this light stand for what it is really worth around $30.

Do not buy these stands. They are extremely cheap. The top T bar is square and it attaches with a bolt to the stand. The stands themselves are like cheap photography lighting stands. Not meant for the stage by any means.

Researched lighting stands and ended up buying this. Not sure how they can sell it so cheap as it is a heavy duty stand.
Quality build and simple take down so I can move it easily. No need for accessory clamps to hold your lighting. It has pre drilled holes in the crossbar with heavy duty hardware to mount whatever you want.

Listen for less than $40, including shipping, this lighting stand is worth the money. It feels sturdy and the easy quick change lighting bar makes this a must have for the mobile Dj. I would say that it would be a waste of money for a club Dj that can mount their lights in a more permanent fashion, but for those of you that need to be flexible and mobile, this stand is a must have.

If this is not the stand for you then good hunting.

Thanks,
Dj Izzy

good stand. it has a well built t-bar shape and its very light. it holds up to 4 lights and it folds really small. its very sturdy and easy to set up. but this or go with the truss system which takes 4x longer to set up and is abnoxiously big.

The product arrived with both missing parts and a knob was broken. Unfortunately I already tossed out the box before I realized this. So, now I'm stuck with it. :-{ Whomever is in charge of quality control....let's step things up a bit.

I have three other light stands and they are bigger and heavier then this one. Paid about the same price for them. Didn't know I was getting a small light weight stand. I kept it because it will serve a purpose when I have a limited amount of space to work in.
