I purchased this model March 2008 and I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer support for hardware malfunctions. The soundcard didn't work from the day I bought it. The only way it could be repaired is to mail the entire computer to the repair depot, at my expense and at my risk for in-transit damage. The repair depot would then take 7-10 business days to repair it and then ship it back to me, so I would have been without a computer for almost a month. After discussion with the senior tech rep, it was cheaper for me to pay for the repairs myself than pay to ship it back. The warranty is basically worthless. I also had problems with their pre-installed sample software. I couldn't reinstall Norton using the Vista uninstall tool. I had to surf the internet for a solution, and finally found an uninstall program on the Norton website. I strongly don't recommend the Acer brand computer.
