I'm rating the Glock tool 5 stars because I'm a firm believer that it's a great tool for every Glock owner. However, for the same price of this tool, I purchased a set of 5 punches from Sears and they comes in five popular sizes (1/16", 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16") You will have the exact fitting size for each hole since the 3 Glock pins are not of the same diameter and using the correct size punch not only will seat flat on top of the pin but will avoid damage to the head surface.

Granted its not as strong and high quality as the Starett 3/32" punch that I was issued at the Glock Armorers class, but it still does the job. Like many others have said, you can go out and get a punch and receive the same results. But where this product shines above an ordinary punch is the plastic handle. It's much more comfortable then the bare metal end of the punch against the palm of your hand.
Detail strip a several Glocks and you'll see what I mean. But then you can always wrap the end of a punch with duct tape.

The Glock tool is far from a useless accessory or more junk for your tool box. It is all you will actually need for disassembly and reassembly of you Glock pistol. It gives you all the 'tools' you will need for it on one handy package. They can be had for less than ten dollars if you shop around. The tool itself is nearly indestructible and increasingly simple, but well thought out. If you have a Glock pistol and you ever think you may need to take it apart, to replace worn parts or for personal upgrades, you can make life a bit easier with one of these.

I have been very happy with this factory tool. They have very specific size hole that requires this tool for a complete break down of a glock, It is very handy. I have no worries about the plastic separating from the metal.

The most important reason to buy a Glock tool is that, compared to other options, it will not mark up or blemish your Glock. C'mon, you bought your gun for somewhere around $500 bucks. In my mind, it's worth an extra $10.

If you're plan on doing any extensive cleaning to your frame or magazines or are planning to add any new parts this tool is definitely a must have. Regular metal punches such as those mentioned in other reviews will definitely mark up your Glock if even slightly, no matter how careful you are. If you do decide to use an alternative, don't you a metal punch! Instead, I'd recommend purchasing a wooden dowel from the hardware store.

I'm not exactly sure what it's made of, either fully hardened plastic or a metal coated in plastic. Either way, it's light weight and feels fairly strong. Although I don't think I'd recommend going around and using it as a pry bar aside from when you're taking your magazines apart, I'd find it unlikely to break during normal use.

Factory OEM product delivered to me. Works great. An essential tool for working on your Glock! Also I'd recommend getting a mat for your work area. The Glock mat has an exploded diagram on it for easy part reference.

I only gave 2 stars because this is an aftermarket Glock tool and not an OEM tool. You will not get what is pictured or what is described. Not wasting the time to send it back. Could have gotten the same tool for half the price from other sellers. The tool that was sent does work but it has rough/sharp edges, its shaped like a 6 sided star and is longer than it has to be. I will use it but im not happy with it or the seller. I will be taking my future business elsewhere.

What better way to perform maintenance on your Glock pistol than with a Glock tool? Sure you can use something else but why would you when you can have this disassembly tool for just a few dollars. Save your fingers the hassle, buy the Glock Tool.

THIS TOOL IS ALL YOU NEED TO MASTER THE TAKEDOWN OF ANY GLOCK PISTOL. I GOT ONE OF THESE WHEN I WENT TO ARMORER'S SCHOOL AT GLOCK HQ. SINCE THEN I BOUGHT A FEW MORE. DEFINATELY WORTH BUYING IF YOU OWN A GLOCK OR TWO, OR YOU WORK AT A GUNSHOP OR ARE A GUNSMITH

I'm not sure what magic I expected from this tool, but it's a simple punch. And a cheap one at that. Please save your time and money. If you don't already have a good punch set, use the money you would waste on this to get one. Love my Glock, but I feel stupid for buying this.

*Update*

I raised the star rating after much thought because I realized the tool is exactly what was advertized. I have used it on my Glock 26 and it works as claimed. I still think it's a bit cheap feeling, but so far, ok.
