Amazing! I just started using this product six days ago and my face has completely cleared up. I was in the middle of a major breakout when it arrived and I was really hoping it would be as effective as many of the reviewers said it was. I too have been a victim of buying into everything out there- Dermalogica, Proactiv, Dr. Murad- and the list goes on. Not to mention the money I've spent going to dermatologists and aestheticians. I am incredibly impressed as this product has cleared up my face in less than a week! My face is smooth as a baby's bottom. Now I can focus on removing the dark spots and we'll be home free. I am so happy I stumbled across this product. The smell isn't bad at all and it doesn't linger. You will need to still use a good moisturizer though, as with any soap products. I hope this helps: )

The sulfur soap was great. We used it to settle down an allergic reation to a scabies incident we had in our home, and this soap was invaluable as one of the items in our arsenal to combat this problem The mites hate the stuff! Thank you!!

I had a bar of this soap for a long time wondering what I would do with it after I heard that sulfur powder used to be used on wounds. I figured if the world got kinda sketchy at least I'd have that to use if one couldn't get a doctor or antibiotic. Then I went to a tropical area where I seemed to pick up a yeast that wanted to live in the moist folds of my skin in the summer time. It is slick and makes my skin red and it STINKS. The only thing the doctor would say is that it is a yeast and that it is everywhere, and that I just need to keep dry. Well dry can be impossible with a high heat index and humidity. Powder works somewhat, but I wanted the stuff dead! I used the sulfur soap in the shower in the places most prone to the yeast. It cleared up immediately. I've got to find some more. My local druggist couldn't get it. I'm so excited to find the exact same soap. It does have a faint odor, but it goes away by the time you've dried off. I'm ecstatic to have discovered a source to purchase some more! Now I am confident to go anywhere and do anything and not worry over getting sweaty.

Although it does smell a little bit, it is "sulfur" soap! The smell goes away when you rinse it off your face, so what's the difference!? It made an incredible difference when I started using this soap for my rosacea! I had been using a prescription sulfur face wash and I ran out of it. I didn't have health insurance anymore at the time, so I figured I'd look into a sulfur soap instead of paying over $140 for this scrip face wash! So for $1.39, I tried this stuff, and my face is actually clearer and my skin softer than when using (or not using) the other stuff! (I am very fair and pale by the way.) I do not tolerate nasty smells well, and I can handle the smell of this soap just fine!

This is one of the few acne products that actually work. I've been using it for over 2yrs because I wanted to get off all the prescriptions I was taking for my acne.

This is my first time using sulfur soap and I must say that my skin is the clearest it has been in a while. I use it on my face and back and it has completely cleared my skin. I am an African American female and this soap is just AWESOME! I highly recommend it and continue to purchase it in bulks. My skin is beautiful and I receive a lot of compliments on it. I only purchased it because of the reviews and I am glad I did. If you want clear skin and do not want to pay excessive amounts of money on facial products on TV or in the store if you purchase it than you will get the same results if not better. Do not pass up purchasing this product to clear your skin. Now I do not have an acne or blemish back or face. Again, AWESOME product you have to try. I saw results in about a week and a half.

I used another sulfur product but the bar was smaller (and my husband left it when we went on vacation). This works great! Most acne is hormonal but this helps to clear up and keep down those outbreaks. Well worth the money! If it seems to stop working after a few weeks, then shave off some of the outer layer. it is exposed to air and water the most and it looses its effectiveness, but shave off a bit and it is fine again!

update 10/5/2014
This is my skin regimen now:
daily:
- take off makeup with boscia makeup breakup oil, it washes off with water
- wash face with philosophy purity cleansing soap
- wash face gently with sulfur soap (I think my face likes to be very clean, but gently)
->>weekly: wash face with olay pro-x brush + exfoliating creme (right now I'm using korres rose scrub)
->>weekly: aztec indian clay mask, 1 tbsp clay + 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar is enough for me
- wipe face gently with cotton ball and well soaked thayer's witch hazel rose toner
- put on moisturizer: Dior hydra life creme sorbet
- do a spot treatment with sulfur ointment (FYI ,sulfur ointment works GREAT for ingrown hairs in your bikini area)
This has helped my face clear up greatly, plus no more peeling skin.
hope this helps

old review:
I first tried using a Bye Bye Blemish type of ointment a long time ago. I was always amazed how well it worked for my acne, but it's only a spot treatment. I bought the sulfur soap w/ lanolin as well. My regimen was like this:
1. I bought an olay pro-x cleaning brush, so I used the sulfur soap and the cleaning brush on my face and let it sit for 10min. Then I rinse off and put the sulfur ointment on my face and sleep with it all night. At about 2 days, my face was amazingly clearer and softer, but my face did start to peel, it turned into a peeling sunburn-like texture on certain areas of my face. So I started doing a coconut oil + sulfur ointment treatment at night and that helped a lot. My face isn't 100% clear yet, but I'm hoping it will get there. The coconut oil slowed things down a lot, even though it healed my face, so I might go back to just sulfur ointment and use coconut oil as a spot treatment. I also use the aztec clay mask, and I like it a lot.

Originally purchased for acne issues, this product has proven incredibly useful! Sulfur has been known for a long time to be antimicrobial. Because of its elemental nature, bacteria seldom, if ever, build resistance to it. Also, sulfur is naturally occurring and less likely to cause harm to your skin and body. This makes sulfur a safer alternative to the many triclosine-saturated soaps that clutter the market.

Neatly packaged in individual boxes, the soap, upon opening, has no unpleasant odor. After use, you will smell the sulfur on your washcloth; however, the soap's smell will not cling to your person. This soap leaves you feeling "squeaky-clean" and feeling dry. Due to the high percentage of sulfur, specifically 10%, this soap will dry your skin out quickly. Therefore, use during the winter should be sparingly; whereas, during the summer you can apply it more often. To keep your sulfur bar in shape, keep it elevated and out of direct contact with water. Also, store it on a pad or clean sponge to absorb excess moisture. Following these two recommendations will ensure your bar lasts longer.

Although advertised for acne, there are many uses for this soap outside of facial care. It is an ideal body soap if you frequent public gyms, hospitals, or locker rooms. Its anti-microbial properties kill and slow down bacterial growth. The soap makes an excellent aftershave to prevent pore infections too. Simply lather onto your face and let it set for about five seconds before washing off. This leaves a pleasant "tight" feeling on your face after a good shave.

If this shining review is not enough, I have one anecdotal story to prove its effectiveness. During my biology class, the professor had us each rub our hands on petri-dishes to create a culture. After slathering our hands on our respective dishes, he collected them and allowed them to mature. Exactly two weeks later, 80% of my classmates had terrible looking bacteria and fungi growing all over their plates. Unsurprisingly, it took three weeks for my plate to grow one tiny clump of bacteria. Granted, this is anecdotal; however, it serves to illustrate the power of super sulfur soap.
