Like others that have left reviews - I was a bit skeptical that a a company could offer a 5-piece tuxedo ensemble for around $100 and it would be of decent quality. I am happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised when the package arrived. Out of the box the jacket was almost a perfect fit. The waist on the pants features a hidden elastic band that provides a comfortable fit (not to mention a little "wiggle room" for the unplanned weight gain). The brace buttons are a nice touch as well. And although the material is 100% polyester - most casual observers would not be able to tell the difference vs. a tuxedo made of wool. The included shirt is made of 35% cotton/65% polyester - and is fine for occasional wear. Note that the shirt includes 4 plastic studs, but no cufflinks. You will want to purchase a separate set of studs and matching cufflinks (about $30). I received a number of compliments at the last formal event I attended - and this tuxedo set was worth every penny. Highly recommended for those that will only attend a formal event once or twice per year.

The tux we received didn't fit very well (very broad in the shoulders - jacket) and I shipped it back to the company. Called New Era customer service to ask about what options they could provide for a better fit (sizing, different tux brand, etc). They were very kind and helpful. They shipped 2 tuxedos 2 day air (per my request - they would have done 1 day air if needed) and told me to keep the tux that had the better fit. They also provided a return label so I did not have to pay for return shipping for the extra tux. The 2 replacement tuxedos arrived on time and both of them were a better fit than the original sent. So we kept one and shipped the other to New Era. Can't beat the price or customer service here. Very happy!

Needed husband and grandpa to look nice at son's wedding. Price was great. They looked great. At first glance, not the fanciest quality, but once the whole suit was on with the shirt, it was certainly worth it. Had the hem taken up at local cleaners. Worth every penny. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Husband will wear tux on cruise in 2 weeks.

Everything was up to par here and looked nice. The pants do come unfinished at the bottom so you can make them the exact length you need. The jacket pockets were also stitched shut but I think this might be a standard thing when buying a new tux.
Considering how much a rental cost its a smart move to buy.

I let the other reviewers sway me in this purchase. Everyone said 5-stars, great. Maybe my expectations were too high. It is an inexpensive tux after all. If you're going to go to an event just to make an entrance and then go change this tux will work. However, if you're going to a work event and you might be standing next to someone with a name brand tux don't get it. From a distance it will work, but look close and it's not so good. The seams aren't entirely straight, and the fabric is nearly "see though". On the good side the jacket fit and the pant waist was accurate I will say.

My son ordered this for his prom--can now use next year as well. He received some very nice compliments. This item was received in a timely manner with all the correct sizes. The shirt was somewhat big around (size L), but I sewed two small darts up the back and then it fit perfectly. The sleeve length was good. The fabric was very nice quality. This was way better than renting!!

I wanted a basic tux for evening events and this fits the bill. Much cheaper than renting a tux. After purchase I send them my jacket, shirt and pants size and in a few days I had my tux. As others said the pants come unhemmed so allow time to get them tailored. The tux fit very well but you can always get it tailored if needed.

I could not BE more satisfied with these items. If you need a tuxedo, don't rent, buy THIS. Here's why:
Quality: Of course this isn't an Armani, but it is much more than "you get what you pay for", I can assure you of that. This tuxedo is of a much higher quality than the one I just rented from M's W-hse for about the same cost! Yes, that's right, the rental cost for a LOWER QUALITY tuxedo from that place of the "Perfect Fit" was about the same as the purchase of this item. That alone should sell you on it, and trust me, I don't work for the company and was very dubious before buying. I thought this would be my "low end" tuxedo and I'd have to buy a better one very soon, for solo work (I'm a singer). Not so! 5 out of 5 stars!
Sizing: I have very non-standard sizing needs (who doesn't?). My coat size and my buttocks and thigh size don't actually work with anything that comes off the rack, a constant issue when buying suits. I have a bull neck, and being a singer, I can't have my shirt choking me. That said...Everything fit perfectly! Of course, there is necessary tailoring that would come with any new suit or tuxedo, because the legs aren't hemmed and maybe the suit sleeves are too long for my short, stocky arms. All to be expected and unavoidable! The shirt is exactly right, even in the neck, more on this in the customer service section. 5 out of 5 stars, never had a suit or tux fit better "off the rack".
Customer Service: Due to my being a singer and having both the concerns of the neck comfort, and my thicker lower body not wanting to be the Incredible Hulk on my pants, I emailed customer service immediately to discuss the sizes of the tux and the shirt I might need. I received a reply the same day. They seemed to listen to my comments, and chose the tux size to be the same as I ordered, and picked a shirt size they thought would work based on what I said. As I mentioned above, they chose exactly right. I was worried that the pants waist would be too big even after our discussion, but that was right too. They know what they are doing, trust me! 5 out of 5 stars here, too.
Price: At this cost, I wish I had had time to order this instead of going to M's W-hse to rent for almost the same price. I wasted money on that place, where I will probably never buy any tux or suit again. A similar tux there, alone, was about $450, of course they do their "buy one get one free" offer instead of giving you a better price for one. If I need a better tux, I will see if this online seller has higher end items, instead of going to a standard suit store for men. 5 out of 5 stars for the price.
As I said, I am a singer, and this tuxedo was intended to be my "fitting in" tuxedo to sing with the chorus, but I thought I would have to get a "nicer" one for solo performances. I no longer think so. I will probably get a dressy cummerbund and tie for that, but the quality of the tuxedo is quite high, no need for anything better until I'm at the MET, LOL ;D

Seriously? I couldn't believe my eyes when I found this bargain. Local Tux Rentals are going for $350! NO WAY was I renting a tux for one night for $350 for my son's High School prom. That's just NOT going to happen. I came here to Amazon, the best web site on earth, and found this tuxedo set and bought it immediately after reading the great reviews. The reviews were spot-on too! It fits perfectly! It looks VERY, VERY NICE on and for this price, you cannot go wrong! What high school kid cares what material his tux is made of? NONE! The rentals are more than likely the same material anyway. If he looks good, that's all that matters and he WILL look fantastic in this tuxedo! This is something he may get more wear out of in the future too. Another dance maybe? A formal dinner? A holiday party? This is definitely one of the BEST bargains you will ever find. We bought this tux set and patent leather tuxedo shoes (on Amazon also!) for 1/3 the price of renting just a Tuxedo. Go for it. It's worth every cent! Trust me on this. :) My son really likes this Tuxedo. You/yours will too.
Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the EXCELLENT service we received from this company, New Era Factory Outlet. I contacted them with the shirt size right after the order was placed and immediately received a reply confirming it and we had the tux set in 2 days. Service just doesn't get much better than that! Great company to deal with. :)

I buy a lot of stuff online. No, really, a lot of stuff, and almost all of it from Amazon. So when I needed a tuxedo, Amazon was my first stop.
Like many others have asked, can I really get a good tuxedo for $99? Well, yes and no. For your $99, you get a nice tux jacket, pants, tuxedo shirt, tied bow tie, and cummerbund.
Jacket - This may be the most important piece. I took it to my tailor and he shortened the sleeves and took in the shoulders.
Pants - These needed to be hemmed, they are unfinished on purpose.
Shirt - It's really thin. You'll want to wear a white crew neck t shirt underneath it, or get a heavier shirt. I had plenty of white t shirts.
Bow Tie - No worries here. It's already tied, and there's an adjustable strap that goes around your neck.
Cummerbund - Again, no worries. Another adjustable strap for your waist.
With the professional tailoring (about $125), this tuxedo looks Great! And that means I looked Great too!
So what else do you need? The suit comes with plastic cufflinks and studs. So buy proper ones right away. You'll also need patent leather shoes. Don't forget the crew neck white t shirt.
I'm very happy with this purchase. For about the price of a rental, I have a tailored tuxedo I can wear whenever the need arises!
