Bought a pair for work, which is currently a mixed use metal shop. I'm both a welder and a designer, and had until this point been working in whatever old, beat up pair of cargo pants happened to be around. As I spend part of my time welding, grinding, fitting, etc. and part of it talking to designers, architects and other clients, I had started to worry about showing up to their offices looking either like a vagrant, or like I never did any real work if I changed into dressier slacks. These, I think, bridge that gap nicely.

I like the double knee, though I've yet to try any inserts for kneeling. There's enough fabric/padding that, at least on fairly flat concrete, it's not uncomfortable for me to kneel for five or ten minutes. (30 year old knees in decent shape, your mileage may vary)

I like the slightly more broken in feel of these. The non-washed version felt a little like I might find the skin worn off my thighs at the end of the day.

As far as fit goes, I found the waist true to size. I ordered them a little long (I'm usually around a 31" inseam) because the description made it sound like they might ride a bit high, but I ended up getting them hemmed to 30 1/2", and I'd probably just order a 30" inseam next time.

I can't speak to long term durability yet, as I've only been wearing them for a month. Here's hoping.

I do wish I could get other colours from the same supplier, but, due to some kind of stocking issue, the brown pair come from one company, with reasonable shipping, while if I want a pair in grey to break up the monotony, the shipping, to Canada, will cost as much as the pants. I like them, but they're not $100 pants.

These Carhartt pants are of a much more machine wash friendly version. The weave of the fabric is softer, yet, just as durable. They are a huge improvement over the regular Carhartt products (the without "duck" pants)

I've owned over half a dozen pairs all of the same size and each one fit differently. Some shorter than others, some tighter on the waist. Why? Other than that, they are a long lasting good strong pant.

The material, construction and fit is excellent. Due to my bad back I have to work a lot on my knees the double fabric on the knees makes the pants last twice as long as standard heavy duty work pants before the knees totally wear through.

These are great pants for wearing either in the warehouse, driving truck, or sawing up the woodpile! With the various pockets for multiple tools, cell, and so on, these pants are what the average medium-labor worker needs to ensure a good work day. The wider leg opening allows for slipping on and off over work shoes, or stell-toes as well. These pants also don't seem to hold stains as well as other types of pants either, so they was very well. I highly reccommend these Carharts to anyone who is looking for a good everyday work pant who doesn't need heavy material to keep him or herself covered throughout the day. Very excellent work pants!! Buy yourself a set if you can! You'll wear them more than you think!! And yes, they look nice too!!

The fit of these pants is flattering. I took a chance purchasing them, figuring the cut would favor young men only. I am past 55 years old, and my wife says I look good in them (and I agree). I ordered the same size I would get off the shelf at a Wal Mart, and the waist/inseam fit is comparable.
The fabric is heavier than denim yet a bit lighter than some canvas. The fabric-reinforced front legs are not so uncomfortable as to impede movement, but are like a pair of built-in riding chaps if you are looking for motorcycling pants. These should be durable enough for any type of construction activity, but I would expect them to be too hot for a roofer in the summertime!
**NOTE** If you are a big-bellied man, be aware that the cut of these pants are full waist. They could prove to be uncomfortable to your stomach.

My husband works outdoors, he could not survive without these pants on cold days! These fit over his regular pants, when it warms up, he removes them. I highly recommend these if you plan to be outdoors in the winter and want to stay warm!

These are the pants that are recommended for use on the Mountain Rescue team that I am on. These are very heavy duty pants, that have held up very well. They also offer great protection from tough, thorny desert plants when hiking off-trail. We also do a lot of kneeling on the ground in the desert while we work on our anchor and rope systems, so the knees take a real beating. The double front really improves the lifespan of these pants, and adds a little bit of padding for your knees. And if you are really spending a lot of time kneeling, especially on uneven ground, you will really want to add some foam pads to these pants. The double front knees also functions as a pocket that will hold specially designed knee pads to ease the pressure points on kneeling on rocks. I bought and inserted "Armed Work Wear HD6x9 High Density Foam Knee Pad Replacement" from Amazon and inserted them into my pants. It makes kneeling MUCH more comfortable. The only downside is that it makes hiking long distances, especially anything with high step-ups, somewhat uncomfortable as the bending foam increases friction/rubbing on your knees.

Good product and the price was not too bad........ gave it a four instead of a 5 star, because the material wasn't quite as light weight as the last pair my husband bought elsewhere. It looked the same and had the same description as before.

I bought these pants for use as light protective pants for motorcycle riding that would still be suitable for casual office wear. They are sturdy while being stylish and I've received compliments on the fit. The waist size is accurate; the rise is ample (not too tight in the backside); the inseam runs an inch or two long but if you wear boots or heavy soled shoes (as you probably do) the fit is still good. For motorcyclists, they will accommodate knee guards underneath. The double front is protective, and I'm happy to say I took a low speed spill off my bike and the pants absorbed most of the abrasion instead of my body. I now have 4 pairs and wear them daily.
