The shirt fits true to size every where, but is much longer than a standard shirt. In the picture, it appears to fall 2 inches below the waist which is normal. However this shirt is about 2 inches longer than it appears. I am wondering if it was mismarked and should be from the big and tall line? So if you are purchasing for a smaller stature, you may want to look for a differerent shirt, or plan on tucking the shirt in. But the quality is very nice and washes well.

I have been wearing these for years and enjoy the longer tails. If you have worked along side someone with a cheap t-shirt on, you can appreciate the Carhartt with the longer body so you ar not having to look at someones harry butt. Thanks Carhartt

These Henley Tees are at least one size too big. I wear XXL in virtually every other shirt on the planet, but even after a wash, the XXL was big enough for Shaquille O'Neal and then some. I read another review like that, and one that says they're too long, like they're built for a tall guy as well. It's too bad, because they seemed like a decent quality shirt, but I had to send them both back. I'm prone to try one size down, but I often wear shirts not tucked in. Even the picutre looks a little funny, a bit too long as well. Come on Carhartt, fix your sizes. Or Amazon, at least warn us about the sizing, so we can take a better shot at it.

My career is focused on apparel, especially big & tall athletic apparel, so I really know my stuff on sizing and the fact that no one anywhere in the fashion world agrees on what this size or that size is supposed to mean. However, the HUGE difference usually come at the extremes, the smallest and biggest sizes. I am 6" tall, 215 pounds, 44 inch chest, and I have worn XL in North American shirts for three decades. This Carhartt XL (I double-checked" fits like I borrowed my grandpas pajamas - too long and too wide by a mile. I love Carhartt products and this particular shirt, so I'll send it back and ask for a Large instead. It will be the only large in my wardrobe. Love the shirt - hate the sizing. Sizing can be fixed so I say this is a four-star because Carhartt's sizing model is too far away from the range of industry sizing norms.

Okay, I am 6'2 210 lbs and when I bought my last shirt like this a decade ago I purchased it at a local army / navy surplus store. It has lasted great and is getting thread bare :). I read the reviews before buying this one, I normally get XL in every shirt I buy but went with the Large after reading the reviews. I also will buy Longs when available but also opted out of that decision. This shirt fits perfect in the shoulders, the sleeves are plently long and so is the length. If it helps or matters mine was made in Honduras, I would have given this product a 5 star rating but is does not seem to be made with the same weighted material as my original that was made in the USA so long ago. Hope this helps ya all......

The shirt is nicely cut and fits well. Fabric is sturdy and comfortable to wear. I like the handy pocket. I own several of these.

You can't go wrong with Carhartt. Sizing is consistent, and the fabric is sturdy and washes well.

I bought this as an extra layer to keep warm while out fishing, jeeping, etc. This shirt is pretty comfortable and thick for a cotton t shirt. Mine was bigger than I had hoped, but I may have ordered too big.

I really like this shirt.

First off, I'm 5'10" & 280lbs - I bought the Navy 3XLT because if there will be a mistake in sizes, I would rather go bigger & try ti shrink it than smaller & have to return it. This is a true to size 3XLT - it is nice and roomy in the chest & abdomen, nice and long at the bottom - it covered my butt - and the arms have good length as well.

The actual color was slightly different from the photo, which I liked - I was worried the color in the photo was a little too light, but this is a true dark navy blue color. I washed it as soon as it was delivered - and put it in the dryer w/my other shirts on med/reg heat for maybe 30mins and it held its size & shape well.

All-in-all, a very nice shirt that should help on the occasional cold evening here in Seattle - if it were colder here more often, I wouldn't hesitate to buy more of these shirts.

Recommended.

I love these shirts. I usually wear a size large or x-large T-shirt but the M (medium) Carhartt Henley is plenty big enough for me. Roomy even. I first bought some at a ranch wear store where I could try them on otherwise I would never have thought a medium would fit. Please don't change your sizing now because I've got it down. ;-)
