5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome work desk accessory
I have this at my desk at work, and I use it ALL the time! I'm an office manager; I mostly do customer service stuff... a lot of phone calls that's for sure. Having this right next to the phone to jot down a name or account number when somebody calls is GREAT! I have probably save about a gazillion sticky notes.

Also it is a fun thing to have on your desk...

3.0 out of 5 stars Was fantastic while it lasted!
I bought the Boogie Board roughly 6 months ago, and we absolutely loved it! My girlfriend and I got the magnet kit so we could keep it on our fridge, and we'd primarily use it to leave each other notes and make grocery lists. 3.0 out of 5 stars Was fantastic while it lasted!, September 18, 2010
I bought the Boogie Board roughly 6 months ago, and we absolutely loved it! My girlfriend and I got the magnet kit so we could keep it on our fridge, and we'd primarily use it to leave each other notes and make grocery lists. Knowing that there are a finite number of erases before the unit stops working, we were always cautious to wait till the whole thing filled up before we'd clear it again.

After about 4 months, the unit suddenly stopped erasing consistently. It would still make the clicking sound, but the image would remain. We made multiple attempts in contacting customer service about the matter, but they have been slow to respond (weeks) and have not taken any action towards replacing our malfunctioning unit. We were able to get it to erase a handful of times since it started acting up by gently twisting the portion containing the electronics, but as of the last erase we have had no further luck. I rate this product 3 stars because it really was a cool toy to have around the apartment when it worked, but was unfortunately quick to become a paperweight due to faulty construction and a lack of customer service.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cool, with limitations, December 25, 2010
By
My inlaws gave this to my 9 y/o son for Christmas. The concept is pretty cool, but I think they should have given it a bit more thought before they put it into production. Like other reviewers say, magnets on the back would make a lot of sense. But the thing that annoys me the most is that there is no place to store the stylus. A little hook or indentation for it would have been GREATLY appreciated. As it is, I'm pretty sure it's going to get lost sooner or later.

3.0 out of 5 stars neat, but no way to erase one line, November 19, 2010

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a neat little tablet. I originally planned on using it for a grocery list on our fridge. It doesn't come with magnets, so I did have to go out an buy some magnetic tape (making this magnetic seems so obvious to me, I don't know why they didn't). Also, there is no way to erase just one line if you make a mistake - the erase button clears the whole thing. It's really a neat little writing tablet, but not as easy to use as I envisioned. Either way, it is fun:)

3.0 out of 5 stars Great idea, but needs a little work., July 11, 2011

I saw this item in the Brookstone catalogue and thought it was a great idea, so I bought one for work. Usually I would use the worksheet that I'm provided for work to write the daily info that I would need for the day. I always hated the thought of wasting so much paper, even though I would reuse the back for the next day than I would put it in the recycle bin. It is easy to write on and I bought the newest generation so there is a place to store the stylus. The only true problem that I have with the Boogie Board is the fact that the erase button is in a place that is easily pushed by mistake and erases everything. In one day I picked it up twice from my messenger bag only to inadvertently erase all the info I needed for the day. Luckily, I was still in the office and able to rewrite everything. After the second time, I took a picture of it with my Iphone in case it happened again. My suggestion for the next generation Boogie Board would be to place the erase button on the side or make it smaller and recessed so you could erase by using the tip of the stylus. If the maker of the Boogie Board did that I would definitely buy another one for work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, August 21, 2010
That's all I have to say! i love the boogie board and I feel good for not wasting paper! The only con is that sometimes things rub up against it and it shows on the screen. But all you have to do is erase it, so it's not that bad!
