I've probably worn dozens of different pairs of thermals and this is by far the best, for a few reasons:

1) the fit. Probably due to the extra amount of spandex they put in it, and general engineering, but it holds closer to my body and retains shape after longer periods of time.

2) moisture wicking. You can't tell from Amazons pictures but there's a patch on the upper back that has small holes for ventilation. This REALLY keeps you cool and dry when most other similar thermals do not.

3) general warmth. These keep me as warm as any light weight or medium weight thermal I've ever worn, at generally a much thinner, lighter, and closer fitting size.

4) thumb holes. This could also be a negative as if worn underneath a short sleeve shirt, as it is not the most aesthetically appealing design. However when used they pull the shirt down and keep it down over your wrists which might give you the little extra warmth you need or fit under a glove to keep the occasional wrist exposure annoyance down.

The only problem I have with this (and everything I buy) is the price. To me I would probably claim everything is overpriced. However, these are not so much though that I will continue to buy these next season and wear them again (hopefully they dont go out of stock!). Amazon unfortunately did not sell these when I purchased them a few months ago, or I would've gotten them from here.

BTW, I also got the Thermolator pants, glove liners, and beanie liner - all equally good.

If you can get this for $15-20, it's a pretty good deal. It's not remarkably warm or anything, but it _aids_ warmth, and it's comfortable and maybe even mildly sleek.

There's just one complaint: It smells vaguely like a rubber factory, even after many washes. Its fiber and stretchiness probably requires some chemical action that just happens to smell. It's fairly faint but not unnoticeable.

My boyfriend wanted a shirt with thumb holes for riding his motorcycle. The material is soft, the shirt fits well and the sleeves stay down and in gloves, even in the wind. It's great under another long sleeved shirt.

WE LOVE OUR TERRAMAR MENS THERMOLATOR CREW NECK LONG-SLEEVED TOPS, primarily for layering during cold winter months for added warmth and for under layers for wool clothing, but we also wear this item on its own for warmer weather, as it is mostly opaque in the black color and VERY comfortable and a little stretchy. We also appreciate that it is well made and durable, and very easily wash and drip dry or air fluff. We have ordered many of this item for ourselves and as giftables and we all seem to be very pleased with this top and have it on our list for future ordering, as we would like to have a couple more in our clothing pantry for handy availability. We find we can reliably order our regular sizes and have this item fit perfectly well. Thank you, Amazon. Blessings.

This along with 2 other types one Terramar Thermasilk and one a wool blend base shirt were tested for riding motorcycles in cold weather. This was by far the best, it lets your body move around inside it instead of clinging to you. It was bought one size larger as to not be a snug fit at all making the sleeves a bit longer because your arm are constantly out stretched and the tail long enough to help cover those other important things that always get cold. Worn against the skin with other layers over it kept nice and comfortable. The really big plus was the thumb holes in the sleeve ends to keep it in the gloves worked great. The wool was a bit itchy and the Thermasilk sleeves were so light after a couple of hours they were right up at your shoulders didn't much care for the see through either.

This jersey is not only very comfortable, but it breathes allowing you to layer or wear it on its own. I am very happy I purchased it.

I attended a November football game in Wisconsin and played golf at Cog Hill in November and the shirt worked great for this Florida guy!

Positive points:
Warm- Been using this in 20-40°F weather, cuts the wind decently, still allows wind to penetrate slightly.
Comfortable- Material hugs to your body and stretches where needed to allow freedom of movement.
Durable- No tearing between washes so far have had for about 2 weeks, up to about 5 washes, thumb loops holding together well, no visible sign of seams coming apart or fraying anywhere so far.

Drawbacks:
Static- Doesn't seem to be too bad of an issue, just occasionally will zap you when putting on/ taking off the garment.
Extended use- Thumb loops, this garment will really make the inside of your thumb arch hurt after about 30-45 min of wearing due to the constant pressure of stretchy material, not recommended for use of extended periods of time.

This was a gift for my son and he loves it. Fits well, not a huge 2x, but the sleeves are long enough for his 6'3" frame and there are thumb holes in the sleeves to keep them down on the wrist if you wish. Material is nice and the shirt keeps him warm when layering
