I've had 2 and they are both lemons! The screen near the top stops working very quickly. It sometimes works but usually doesn't. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE!!

Shortly after my warranty expired (though from researching on owner forums, it's clear the warranty is worthless anyway), the problems started. I realized I was burning through my data plan, then found it was because my wireless internet was not working. When trying to connect, it would simply say Error. This is a common problem with this phone. Customer support walked me through wiping my phone, which did nothing. They then offered to "look at it" for $120. I declined the ridiculously inadequate offer, and then my phone started getting worse. It now powers off and back on several times an hour. This drains the battery quickly, and I need to charge it every chance I get. It seems like any interaction makes the phone power down. It's no longer good for phone calls, because it is guaranteed to power off mid-conversation. The problems I'm describing are very common for this phone, and no one I've talked to in forum has gotten any help from Motorola, with or without warranty. Please research Motorola's inferior products before buying.

I enjoy this phone. I was about to finally by the next iPhone (never bought an iPhone yet) , yet it never came out and will be extremely expensive compared to android phones. Through amazon you can by this phone and lots of accessories for much less than an iPhone.

This phone is nice because it is extremely thin, yet is has all of the hardware, and 4" high resolution screen. The phone is extremely fast and i can view regular webpages without having to zoom.

I was upset at first that msn did not have any apps to run their software. They clearly want you to by a windows phone. Soon after I learned that the live mobile website works great and I do not need their app, and all of the office compatible products read all of my office documents.

The android market is great. First you have a choice of buying at retail price from apple or downloading the amazon android market for amazon prices.

Since I am in the Architecture profession I wish Google would bring out a sketch up app for an android phone or at least a 3d model viewer.

I purchased this phone on February 28 to replace my IPhone 3G. It took a few days to get used to it but it has been well worth it! I love the freedom to make the phone work the way YOU want it to. The ability to create your own home screen is fantastic. The call quality is great and the volume of the speaker is excellent. The Atrix is super fast, I mean incredibly fast, I was truly impressed with the speed of this phone. I still have a lot to learn about this phone and so far every day I have learned something new. I was able to transfer itunes music and my photos easily. The only problem I have had is when ATT transferred my contacts the addresses did not get transferred, I am still trying to figure out why that happened. If you are use to the Android platform this phone would be a natural transition, if you are use to the Iphone it will take some getting use to but the rewards are well worth it!

Okay,I'm coming from an iphone 3G to the Atrix so let's go apples for apples (pun intended). Screen: rocks, qHD gives a nice clean image that is bright enough to see in bright sunlight (I work outdoors). 24 hours after I received and activated mine, I got a UI update that gave the screens a little more usable space and new ouptions (3 profiles you can customize, new menus and an overall cleaner look). I kept mine stock (MOTOBLUR enabled, but I don't use it). Camera : crisp clean pics that look great; zoom is so-so but lightyears ahead of iphone. Browser is great (Flash is COOL). Most of the apps I had on my iphone, paid and what-not, I found in the market, most are free; also the UI update allows Amazon appear so that's cool. Overall I am far more impressed with the ease of how the ATRIX integrates with my work and play. Oh yeah, battery life is just as good as with my iphone, after I ran it completely down then charged overnight. I really like this phone, so much I'm writing this review on it.

For $50-$100, you can't go wrong with this phone. I think the price was dropped on this phone early because of it's lack of Gingerbread (Android's latest mobile operating system). Now that the Gingerbread update has been rolled out, the Atrix has gotten rid of the glitches it had when it first came out (random reboots, problems with playing WMA's). For anyone looking for a smartphone, you really can't beat this for the price. The Atrix has better specs than most higher priced Android phones, with 1ghz dual core processor and 1gb of RAM (Droid X2 only has 512mb of RAM. it's a very fast set. Also 16gb of onboard storage plus a micro SD slot that supports up to 32gb of extra storage, makes the phone a great replacement for an ipod or mp3 player. In conclusion, The Atrix is a very nice and fast phone, I would reccomend it to anyone... and with Tiny Shark (Grooveshark) on it, you have all the music you could ever want on it. (Sorry iphone users. Apple won't let you have a Grooveshark app)(:

I purchased It yesterday at Fry's. Coming from a Iphone 3g and 3 gs, I was not sure what to expect. But I purchased this phone since It was a great deal and didn't want to pay $199 for a Iphone 4. The 24 hours I have had this phone has blown away my expectations:

First the Positives:

1. Great Fit and Finish and holds well. Perfect size. Not to big or small.

2. I had the phone up and running in about 10 minutes including setting up the Motoblur account

3. Smooth experience in setting up email accounts, saving contacts from SIM.

4. Testing and sending emails is a breeze

5. It is blazingly fast.

6. After 24 hrs of moderate use (sending a few texts, emails, browsing the web) the battery is at 90%. In comparison my Iphone 3GS would be at about 50% level.

Negatives:

It does not look fashionable compared to Iphone 4 since this is all black and plastic. But It is sleek and conservative in looks.

In conclusion, I love this phone,

After two months of careful use, the phone froze up and would not re-boot. I returned it for repair assuming they would make good but told me that even though there was internal damage for which I may not be responsible, they would not repair it because it was "physical damage" and was not covered under warranty. I couldn't believe it and sent it back in for another opinion and a phone call with customer service. They could have told me anything because I can't see inside the phone and understand what they are talking about -- "an internal shield was bent" -- and worst of all, they admitted that it might not have been my fault. No repair or replacement. They lost a customer for good and anyone else I can convince to go to Samsung Infuse which has better battery life, display, keyboard and durability.

I've had this phone since 2011. The phone randomly reboots daily, often multiple times a day, for no apparent reason. I can't make sense of it. It will reboot while it's just sitting there with a dark screen, in standby. Or, it will reboot while I'm using it. The phone did not start to reboot until I owned it for about six months. Motorola support is non-existent. They seem to be unaware of a problem, yet, check out any message board and the reboot problems are well documented. But if I send it in with $100, they will repair it, of course. I strongly believe the reboot problem is a component or software flaw. My son also bought an Atrix at the same time and his randomly reboots as well.
I'd like to support Motorola by purchasing their products but this ruins their reputation for me.

AT&T and Moto need to update the phone to Android 2.3 or better yet, 2.4 and enable full HSUPA.

Right now, Android 2.2.1 barely supports the dual core CPU, many apps cannot even see both cores let alone use them.

No HSUPA means slow upload (less than 300Kbps) and download speeds. This means NO 4G service at all.
Don't let the little H+ icon fool you. It barely does 3G speeds.

The fit and finish on the phone is great and MotoBlur isn't too shabby.
Could use a facelift though.

Would I recommend this to others, not right now.
If AT&T and Motorola resolve the issues mentioned, this phone will be a beast.
