This is the most listenable album I've purchased in quite a while. It was easy to fall in love with CSS with their first album, but I would say it was a little uneven and hard not to skip certain tracks after a while. I can only listen to two songs off their second album with any regularity. This one, however, I keep listening to in its entirety. There are two tracks that don't hook me like the others, but that's all. I'm a little scared I'm going to listen to it way too much and get sick of it, but it hasn't happened yet. In any case, I can wholeheartedly recommend this album if you want some fun music that doesn't take itself too seriously. Be prepared to have many of its moments stuck in your head.

After dealing with the mess from the management in the success of their first album, CSS followed up with a emotionally charged and sometimes angry second album Donkey. This album La Liberacion, is CSS in a liberating moment where they find their stride apart from forces that keep their creativity in boxes. This is an exciting album with a variety of songs - some are immediately catchy, some are worth a listen any time, and some just wash over as you keep listening. This fun album is a must buy for any CSS fan, and a good album to play if you want to hear some great music that is not part of the mainstream. Right now my favorite songs are the first three on the album... I'm sure as I keep listening that will shift around - can't wait to keep listening to this one.

This album is a 'must have' for all CSS fans! There isn't a bad song on this album. I bough the CD and the mp3. It's that good!

It's not CSS or Donkey, but it's pretty good! This is the last album Adriano worked on them with. They owe him a huge credit. You'll see what I mean if you give Planta a listen. He left before that album.

First of all let me just say the girls in this band are strangely attractive. Lol. Anyways back to the album...its very enjoyable. I,ve had "hits me like a rock" in my head for about a month now. Lol. I like how diverse this album is. Its pop then rock then electronic. Theres even a pop punk song sung in spanish that reminds me of that honda civic commercial with the ninja lol my favorite tunes on this album are "hits me like a rock", "you can have it all", "red alert". They are great pop songs that are catchy just like " lets make love and listen to death from above" & "move" from their previous albums. Worth the money fo sho.

I love CSS, never thought that I would as I am into much heavier and louder music. Something about CSS's beat and sound make me want to whip off my clothes and roll around naked in a bed with a beautiful woman. Lovefoxxx has the perfect voice for the music, and apart from the song 'Echo of Love' there is no weakness to this album.

A great return to form (I actually didn't mind their second album), a real catchy and brilliant album. Just need to get to see them live, which is unlikely seeing as I live in China.

Their first record was a five star album, while the second and third one fall into that gray zone of three and four stars depending on the listener.

I found that there are many enjoyable songs and elements to this record, which is great to hear for I've enjoyed listening to the group since their debut in 2006. The group still has a lot of energy and can still compose an excellent dance song. However, those types of songs are not the focus of the group anymore, so one may not find they enjoy the lighter, poppier tracks of "Hits Me Like a Rock" and "Echo of Love".

Then again, those pop songs as well as songs like "You Could Have It All", "La Liberacion" and "Partners in Crime" add to the diversity of the band's palette. It's still a good album created by a fun, engaging group. I just don't think I will return to this one as often as the previous two and, therefore, can only give it three stars. Think of it as liking a good 3/5 of the album instead of the full 5/5 of their debut.

I am a fan of CSS, I thought that their first album was a good strong album, although a little heavy on the teenage rebellion lyrics. their second album was great, the CSS sound had evolved: Gone were the juvenile songs and what came out was more mature and better flowing, and the duets were excellent. The third album "La Liberacion" was not a further evolution but a devolution. The first few songs sounded like it was just Lovefoxx, Adriano, and a drum machine trying some tunes out, while the rest sounded like tracks that could have been rejected from the first CSS album.
The highlight of the album was the track "La Liberacion" which had a catchier beat, and was in Portuguese. Granted I cannot understand Portuguese, but that was one of the real charms of the first album, it was not just making English tracks to appease the English speaking world, they sang songs for their native Brazil.
I'm not giving up hope on CSS, I am curious to see what the band will come up with for their next album. Both "Donkey" and "CSS" showed that there is plenty of talent in the band, and can come up with an album that shows the bands full range of talent.
