For my long runs, I have used the Asics DS-Trainer and GT 21XX series over the past 10 years and the Neo33 strikes a balance between the two. It is listed as being slightly lighter than the DS Trainer and I feel that it gives a bit more of a stable ride while not being as stiff as the GT. The midfoot to forefoot transition felt slightly jerky for the first few miles but smoothed out and my legs felt fresher after the run than in either of the other two shoes. This shoe is nowhere near a minimalist shoe like a Saucony Kinvara but I liked the Neo33 so much that I have already bought a second pair to put in rotation.

I ordered my Asics GEL-Neo 33 on Monday Sept. 17th and shipped the same day. They arrived two days later on the 19th. My first day (Yesterday) I went for a run I was adjusting from running in a pair of Saucony Kinvara 2. Ran 4 miles and had to make some adjustments with my right insole liner as it was too thick, no big deal. I took my liners out of my old Kinvara 2's and put them in my Gel-Neo 33. Laced them up today and went for a 4 miler. This is where the "WOWZER" kicked in. Super comfortable from the heel to the front foot. I noticed my stride today seemed longer and cushioning on landing was incredible. It didn't stop there like in some shoes that give good cushioning but no response when pushing back off. This is where I noticed the Asics Gel-Neo33 took me to another level in running that I haven't experienced before. I'm a big runner at 6'6 235lbs. and going from the Saucony Kinvara 2 to the Asics Gel-Neo33 is like going from a Ford Focus to a Lexus. This shoe gives you wider forefoot cushioning and you can feel the shoe absorb the shock from heel all the way back up to the forefoot with an incredible response and push off. Honestly one of the best runs I've ever had today in these shoes. Highly recommend. Awesome shoe.

Great shoe. The only thing is that I put an insole in because there was zero arch support for my average arches!

At first, I thought they were made too narrow, but I realized that the laces are just laced in a way to accomodate a narrow foot. After adjusting the laces so that the toe box was loose and the ankle was tight, these became my favorite shoes that I have ever owned.

To be honest, the bright blue color is also somewhat of a bold statement. People will notice them and have strong feelings for them, but overall most people like them. Of course I work in a casual environment, so I normally wear athletic shoes all the time for comfort and to accomodate my walking at lunch and during breaks.

If you are somewhat of a shy person who doesn't want people to make comments on your shoes, bright blue might not be the color, but it is definitely the style. Find a gray or black.

Once of the most comfortable shoes I've owned. A lot of support and very breathable. Still breaking them in at the moment. I have been having constant knees problems and I have felt so much better since running these shoes!

I am a casual runner, and have historically used Nike or Adidas shoes. I've always wanted to try Asics, but I'm usually too cheap. So when I saw these on Amazon's Deal Of The Day, I decided to give them a try!

The day I received them, I acted on a moment of inspiration, put them on and ran 4 miles. They were so comfortable, I don't even have any hot spots on my feet. I also managed to run a personal best 4 mile run of 33:19, which was about 10 seconds better than what I ran a couple weeks ago on the same route with my broken in shoes.

They are very light, but feel like they have lots of cushioning and kept my feet very comfortable!

I have approximately 5 different pairs of Asics that I rotate for my runs. My main high mileage shoe is the GT-2160 which is no longer made, and I was looking for a replacement. These fit the bill perfectly. They were a little lighter and more flexible, but the same soft cushioned feel with a decent amount of support. The cushioning is fantastic and the fit was spot on. I also own the Gel Blur 33, which is comfortable but the Neo33 is much more supportive. I would buy another pair of these without question.

This is my second pair of Neo33 shoes. My first pair went through six months of harsh conditions in Afghanistan and a lot of miles. Probably about 400-450 miles total. They still look good but are worn too much for safe running. Light weight, provide good support, but not excessive, and comfortable for long runs, regular 10-14 miles. The best part is that I have not had any injuries or problems like I have had with other shoes in the past. My shoes before were Kayano and Guide 5. They were both good, but these have been a good shoe to transition to lighter weight and less heel to toe ratio. I think it improved my running. I certainly enjoy it more.

Where I work as a cashier it is 8 hours a day on a cement floor on my feet, by the time I was getting home my feet were killing me! I have been searching for a running shoe that was also great just for standing and walking for months. This shoe is the one I have been looking for it feels like walking on pillows and they are very comfortable, the Gel Cushioning system must really work because my feet no longer are in pain when I get home.
