Almost caught fire after 10 months of use.
The connector on my lamp has melted completely, both stinking up the inside of my house and ruining the plug in on the tv. I now need to fix both my tv and buy a new lamp, with no way of getting my money back or any kind of reimbursement on this product.

The manufacturer is liable for these damages, and I have no way of contacting them.

Do not buy...

It took me almost an hour to figure out why this thing wouldn't work and I was seconds away from returning it and buying elsewhere. The power connector on this lamp is tighter than the stock lamp and you have to apply a LOT of pressure to get it installed. Seriously, lots of pressure. It's difficult to remove the lamp once it's installed because of this.
I'm conflicted in my review because of this. Other than the difficulty to install, the lamp is good.
If you get this installed and it's not turning on, you'll see a solid red indicator light after a few minutes telling you that the lamp is bad (this information is nearly impossible to find online). You need to open the back up, remove the two screws, and put more pressure on the right side where the power connector is to get it all the way in. You'll have no trouble with the screws after this.
Make sure you put the screw back in the access panel or the unit won't turn on.

I thought my tv was gone. No picture only sound... Ordered this item. Only Unscrewed 4 screws slid it in and to my surprise the picture was brighter and sharper than before. :)

I purchased this replacement lamp and received this 4 days later. I followed this replacement instruction in my user manual. The lamp works great. Very Pleased with the product and the speedy delivery.

It stopped working after 4 months...i don't recommend buying this from third party.. pay a little more and get it from Mitsubishi with a guarantee.

It worked pefefectly but it only lasted 4.5 months. I will pay a little more next time for a better bulb. Hope this helps.

Wish i could put -5 stars , bought two of these now they burn out after about a month or less, guess thats what you get for buying cheap. I suggest you spend the money and buy a better one. The only positive thing is to buying this product you know for sure that your tv stopped working because of the lamp so if your not sure why your tv is dead spend the $40 before you spend over $150

This is the second bulb we have purchased and I am hoping it will be as good as the first. We purchased it almost 2 years ago and I am a stay at home mom with the tv going all the time.

Easy to replace and works perfectly. Couldn't have imagined I could do the switch between the old and new bulbs.

I purchased this same brand bulb in February, and it quit working less than a month later. When I attempted to return it, the warranty was already expired, so I purchased this bulb to replace the bulb out of warranty. This bulb worked well just like the other bulb for less than 1 week, then it quit working too. Not sure if they were part of a bad batch of bulbs, or if it's my TV, but I will try another brand just to be sure.

If it turns out to be something with my TV that is causing these bulbs to fail so quick, I will be fair and update this review.
