I have been using these for a month-and-a-half now, and am very pleased. I am a fully converted minimalist. As with every new shoe, I don't immediately make a new shoe my daily runner.... I phased this in over two weeks, but it has been my daily for about a month. Very light. So much so, it feels like I am wearing nothing at all, compared to some of my other minimalist shoes. Unlike a previous reviewer, I find these shoes to be well ventilated and cool. There is one reason I am not giving this shoe five stars... it had a seam flap that did not lay flat, seemingly similar to what a previous reviewer commented. After my second wearing I was discouraged and thought I was going to be returning them, because that flap (on the inside-side, just behind the ball of the foot) irritated my skin. To repair, I super-glued it down in the proper position (using Loctite brand gel super-glue). It has stayed put, with zero discomfort. These shoes are now my favorite. One shouldn't have to "repair" new shoes.... but if you get these, and you have the same problem, it was a real easy (and seemingly permanent) fix.

This is a very lightweight, comfortable shoe. Feels like you have almost nothing on.
I've been using it for short runs, and working out.
Like vibrams, but more padding.
These would be great for crossfit.

I don't think these would be good for long runs, unless you are really into the barefoot running, minimalist thing. If you are a heavy heel striker, these probably aren't for you.

Maybe looks a little funny if you aren't into funny looking elf shoes. Very comfy, Breathes fine. Construction is fine.
Go for it.

I had these for 2 weeks, ran about 3 miles 5 times in them, and the Vibram Rubber is starting to come off.

This is the 2nd pair of USA made New Balances I have bought in the past year that the rubber soles started to fall off after minimal use.

I don't get why Chinese made New Balances last way longer then USA made ones.

I liked the fit of these shoes. They are also incredibly light. Unfortunately near the ball of my big toe the Vibram rubber does not extend to the full width of the shoe. Because of this when you are pushing off and the shoe compresses the part with Vibram compresses less than the part without the Vibram. This creates what feels like a seam along the middle of the bottom of the ball of your big toe. I know if you were to run in these it would cause blisters after a few miles. It is a design flaw that is exacerbated by my wide feet that push the ball of my foot further out. If you have narrow feet, you may not experience the same thing. I wish I could keep these because everything else looked like it was going to be good.

I love these shoes. They fit perfect and could be worn everyday. I'm pretty picky with what I put on my feet and have to say I would recommend these shoes to anyone.

Over the past couple of years I've been more sedentary, working at a computer all day. I injured my heel playing basketball one day. Went to the hospital got xrays but nothing was broken. DR diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis, and the only remedy was to exercise my calf and foot to prevent me from slamming all my weight on my heel. 1.5 years after exercising regularly, replacing inserts, and using toe relaxers, nothing has changed. I eventually gained 10lbs since the harder I worked out, the more it hurt. Then about a week ago I bought these shoes and immediately felt a difference in the way I walked. My calves burned since I hadn't worked them out like that in years, but now I place my weight on the balls of my feet! The pain has disappeared and I owe it to these shoes. I also set a personal running distance record now that my form is correct. Couldn't be more satisfied.

I've been using these for MMA training and the title says it all, the sole of my right shoe fell apart after 1 week of use. The construction of the bottom of the shoe doesn't look like it's really made to be used, and looks like it would easily fall apart like it did.

If you're only using these for long distance running then MAYBE they wouldn't fall apart on you, but even then you're really taking a chance.

It's a shame too, these shoes look way cooler in person than they do online, and they're some of the most comfortable shoes that I've ever owned.

I'll preface this with the fact that I don't run in these shoes. I am a cyclist... I have no need to run unless I am being chased.

That said, I wear these out and about and to work in an office/warehouse environment and they are perfect for this. I like lightweight shoes with minimal (but some) padding and these are great.

I was previously wearing TV20V1's and I had no problems with them, other than the usual tearing on the outer layer after a few months.

This newer design seems like it is much better made to avoid the creasing that caused these issues initially. Time will tell if this design is better, but I am impressed by how they are appearing so far.

I also really like variety of colors available.

The fit is slightly different than the TR20V1, but not in a bad way. The support is about the same, and the sole feels familier, but the toe box seems a bit more "open." What I mean to say is that I can wiggle my toes a bit easier now, which is a bit nicer if I'm honest for everyday wear. For running, I'd be cautious if you like a really tight toe box.

Pros:

Super light

Comfortable

Vibram soles last forever

Better colors than previous versions

Con's:

Durability is hit or miss on this line of shoes, but most of the wear is purely aesthetic.

I am very hard on these shoes in a warehouse (moving pallets all day, jumping on an off the forklift, etc) and they have held up great for me in this way. I really like minimalist shoes for this because the cushion doesn't wear down too quickly (there is less to begin with) and they are light enough that they don't seem to be there at all.

You're rolling the dice when you order online. The size is perfect! Many times (depends on the make) the size is small or large. Looks like the pictures, and fits.

My husband wanted to try a pair of minimalist shoes and these really fit the bill. He tried them on in a store first but we got them much cheaper here on Amazon. After breaking them in on short runs for a few weeks he is now doing his longer runs in them and really likes them. He feels the run more in his calves now and it has changed his stride.
